  1. nice! I love skiing the Alps, those pics really make me want to go back...soon!
  2. I tried to do the South Spur on Adams Easter weekend. bailed due to weather and the long approach. at that time I could only get to within 7 mi of the Cold Springs TH. it did seem to me that the road was melting out pretty fast and there was also a lot of activity on the road from the snowmobilers. they were doing a lot of work to clear windfall from the road and they were breaking trail with their 4x4's to get up the road. I am sure there is still a lot of snow down there, doubt you can get all the way to the TH in your car, but getting close!

  4. I was coming from Olympia and it took me about 2 hrs, maybe 2 1/2 hrs. I live just south of Oly so from seattle it would be more like 3 1/2 or 4 hrs. I didnt go to the climbers bivy because the road was still gated about 4 miles from the bivy, the road at that point was snow free but since the bivy is at a higher elevation than the sno-park, and there was snow all the way down to the sno-park, I am sure there is still plenty of snow covering the road up from the gate. I forgot to fill my hydration pack before I got to the TH and couldnt find any running water so I did the climb with less than a liter of water, sucking a lot of snow on the way, so my time up was pretty slow, I think it took me about 5 hrs to summit. that was in pretty soft snow conditions too, leaving the TH at about 9:00 AM on at day that had record setting high temps. no permits, it was a Friday and I didnt expect to see many on the Mt so I poached.
  5. I was down there last weekend, the 6th & 7th, trying to get to the South Climb TH. like the report says I only got to within 7 miles, but the road was clearing out fast. every day new snowmobilers would come in and move a few trees out of the way, push a little further up the road with their 4x4's and generally beat the snow off the road. a lot of work has been done to clear downed trees off the road, by whom I dont know, but it looks like the slednecks are doing most of the work, lots of riding still to be had there. they were riding literally riding day and night. from what I was told by them the other sno-parks had generally melted out and the only riding was off of Rd 80. I spent the night camped on the road want to ski the next day but it started raining in the morning and I bailed so I dont have any idea what you will find up the road once you stop driving. hope this helps some, go for it and let us know what you find!
  6. Trip: Mt St Helens - Worm Flow Date: 4/6/2007 Trip Report: a very late start on a beautiful day view of the new dome in the summit crater new slabs in the crater a very tempting line into the crater...illegal, but tempting... the new Spirit Lake Mt Adams...maybe tomorrow... let the fun begin! end of a great day on the mountain Approach Notes: Marble Mt sno-park, still had snow to the TH, skied all but the last 50m. same for skinning up.

  8. I was up on Mt. B today. Snowed all day long! Windy though. White out at times. Hope tomorrow's better. what route or part of the mountain were you on? what is the road access like, snowline, etc?
  9. before you take such deliberate action what was the intent of the person who screwed you over? did they make a mistake or were they trying to hurt you? if you need a grudgefuck for the sex then go for it, but what will you really gain, will that make the breakup any easier? someone a helluva lot smarter than me once said: Evils we have never experienced, we are unprepared to resist. I have no idea who originally said that but I know they were smarter than me! another person a lot smarter than me also said that nothing should be said in anger, and I would think that would go for actions too. maybe you should just step back and think about what you really want. plenty of time for a grudgefuck later.
