  1. didn't waste much foil on that one
  2. yeah, solar
  3. stupidity squared
  4. second pitch off of phone call from satan
  5. The fun is in trying to pronounce the place names without slobbering, like "Lötschenlücke"
  6. While the usgs quads are very nice, I would say the swiss map sets are the world benchmark standard for quality.
  7. I like the other one where you're belaying helmetless J with your helmet on.
  8. totally mantra. you can see the climber chiseled in on morning star to the left. I found mantra to be the meanest 10a in the lower gorge, but certainly fun. did not like the dirty start.
  9. I would seriously turn down a $1 million job to avoid commuting over the I-5/205 bridges every day. Life's too short to tolerate that. Muffy, Sandy is not bad at all, IF you are not working in downtown PDX. If you are, that's a miserable commute. But if it's a job in Troutdale/Gresham (east side), I don't think it would be that bad. There are some beautiful spots in Sandy to live, and it's far enough out (right now) from PDX to feel like its own town. I just consider Troutdale/Gresham, etc as kind of a no man's land with no character. Personally if I'm going to live in a big city, I'm either going to be right in the middle of it, or way the hell out of it.
  10. there will be a lot of upset telemarkers when they can't bring their mandatory dogs up on the mountain. they'll just have to settle for the dave matthews/mmw stereotype
  11. I would love this because then I wouldn't even consider skiing there. Anyone dropping that kind of coin for the ghettos is out of their mind.
  12. I hardly consider troutdale a "small suburban town" these days. It's sprawl, with a truckload of stoplights and traffic. I can't really tell it apart from gresham.
  13. kinda looks like the rap line off sky ridge...

I feel sorry for the kid but when he starts hitting the monitor it just slays me every time.
  15. I don't think that's officially in the park actually, BLM land.
  16. Fair enough, kevbone. tjmcd, as you can see, you might want to take a look for yourself and decide.
  17. The ones I mentioned are not runout at all, in my opinion. I believe Kevin is referring to Winter Delight and Fall Guy. If you do decide to head up the se corner w/ a new rack be sure to extend everything. Your sport draws can quickly ruin your day.
  18. He could. go. all. the. way.
  19. There is a nice bolted line to the right of boardwalk that I would call "friendly". I think it's about 5.7-5.8. But that's about it. There's also the first pitch of young warriors that is for some reason bolted. 5.8.
  20. It's "numbnuts", and you personify one by repeatedly misspelling it.
  21. yep white trash, I need to be careful with the clues! showing any more of that photo would have been a giveaway.
  22. That sure looks like Quasar.
  23. I'm thinking Parched Cat cliff, that 10b route (forget the name) that has a 2nd (bolted) pitch going (I think) to the rim? EDIT: Oriface 10b? Nope, the grade of that stretch is right, but the climbing below is much harder than that...
