I just found a can of Camo Black Ice - 10.5% (I didn't know Camo went that high!) in the fridge at work. Not sure whose it is, but I'm grabbing it and drinking it at my desk. I can't wait for the drive home.

Spent the weekend at Canyon Creek Meadows (via Jack Lk.). Beautiful spot and we had the place to ourselves. Yes, lots of mosquitos, but the meadow is in full bloom now. The route is in as much as it will ever be (which isn't saying much). No snow. Echo the precautions mentioned above.

I have this Alps Mountaineering tent. I was skeptical at first, but I have put it into increasingly harsher conditions and it has performed great. I wouldn't use it where considerable snowfall is expected, but other than that it's a great tent. It's light, easy to set up and has ample room for two adults. I say
