  1. I never said I wanted Bush to run the economy; however, you probably voted for Bush twice so why are you now invoking his incompetence? You, like Prole, are clearly a Statist, whose solution to every problem is a bigger, more intrusive government. Currently the executive is headed by someone you despise and consider incompetent, corrupt, etc. etc. etc. So, it is quite ironic to say the least that you (and you ilk) continually push big government solutions, when, there is currently an administration with whom you profoundly disagree and consider incompetent, who will wield the power you are desirous of granting them. I think this point is clear to everyone, or are you that addled in your thought process not to see it?
  2. I'll remember that if I ever meet the Rooster.
  3. bastard! post a tr!
  4. I think it depends on what kind of climbing you are getting into, and what kind of bike you are getting. A decent road bike plus some minimal extras (helmets, lights, clothes, etc) will run you just above $1000. Someone just getting in to climbing can spend less than that - depending on what they are going to do. Once you have your gear though, road biking is cheaper - since you don't need to drive anywhere. If you do drive your bike somewhere (mountain biking), well it's usually a lot closer than TH's for climbs.
  5. Question: how is it that they now know that the files were accessed illegally - and how many times BUT THEY COULDN'T DETECT THIS WHEN IT ACTUALLY OCCURRED OR PREVENT IT IN THE FIRST PLACE!
  6. A classic: WM2vO7O_N7Y
  7. They are the same. This is not news.....who cares? Listen moron, it's all over the news. The politics of personal destruction are in full effect and Obama is in the sights.
  8. I'm enjoying the Balvenie 12 y.o. Double Wood right now. I think it is on sale... and so is Black Bush, Red Breast, and Black Bush single malt. I may be picking up a bottle of the latter to try.
  9. It's getting dirtier by the day... Who's to blame? Hillary's folks or the R's.
  10. This post has some excellent points... and food for thought. I've defititely been doing something wrong to my shoulder(s) and I think a lot is related to posture and overtraining of some muscles...
  11. That's a topic for when/if kids ropeup is announced for next year.
  12. I like the idea of a combined primary and you get to pick your top two candidates. The top two vote-getters combined run for president.
  13. This trimmed version is essentially what we have today.
  14. The two major parties have a lock on the entire process.
  15. Firstly, this is not covert, it's very public and overt. Secondly, it doesnt include incitement of discontent.
  16. You saw the ruling on the WA primaries, no? We need to do this nationwide. The top two candidates regardless of political party affiliation should be able to run. We need to break up the two-party oligarchy in this country.
  17. Biking is better aerobic training for alpine climbing, IMO. YMMV (pun intended)
  18. Was a crime committed? If not, you can do nothing legally. Ethically, yeah it sucks ass.
  19. OK, googled it... 5' 7". that is short for a president, and compared to a 6'5" giant, of course.
  20. Never seen it. I have heard from multiple sources that it really sucks as a film... so I'm surprised by the recommendation here.
  21. I don't know. This would probably be a bestseller in France too.
  22. Good point. One thing I have to say though: if she showed a fake ID that said she was 18, and the ID looked legit, I say tough crap to her. Ditto for people who have fake ID's in bars and then try to sue because they get in an accident or end up in the hosipital with alcohol poisoning.
  23. why is this not surprising...
  24. If Hillary gets the nomination, she will be crushed in the general election - not because of her being a weak candidate, but because of the split in the Democratic side. I think there is a chance this could happen if the delegate count is still very close going into the convention. Dumb question here... Do you mean to say that if Clinton gets the nomination that she wouldn't win b/c some Dems would vote for McCain rather than her? Or is it due to the delegate count? I don't know the process as well as I should, so I don't know if delegate counts change, get transferred, or what. People are motivated by Obama. They are putting their hearts and souls and emotions into his campaign. If he somehow loses - especially if he has a majority of delegates and/or popular vote, but Hillary seals the deal via "superdelegates" or some other nefarious scenario, I think it will piss off enough people to cause low voter turnout on the D side. And yes, some independents will go to McCain rather than Billary. This is all Spray-Speculation of course.
  25. Of course you're gonna say that. You're a fanatic anti-R.
