  1. What they are being asked to do is give up on part of the benefits that they have been promised... in other words to allow their employer to renege on part of their compensation package. I don't blame these folks for saying "no, thanks". Typically, these folks have to fight for salary increases which lag the market/rate of inflation. And I wonder, which benefits in particular is Gov. Gregoire forgoing... as a sign of good faith and soldarity with the state employees that she is is asking to make sacrifices and the people of the state of Washington? Maybe she is taking a 10% cut in her >150K salary? Or perhaps she is paying all her medical premiums?
  2. I may have typed it in wrong (so no flaming), but with the drop in 2010, the # of state employees went up about 37% and the population about 38% from 1990 to 2011. So, yeah, pretty commensurate.
  3. Really? Lets hear what KKKKK or fairweather have to say on the subject. CHEMTRAILS! OMG!!!!
  4. My reply went over yours. But hey, that's no surprise with your obsession about yourself, you fail to notice a lot.
  5. Thanks. This is exactly what my concern is. We'll back the dumptruck of taxpayer revenue to backfill the hole rather than spend it on worthy programs - schools, medical care for the needy, and general social safety net programs. What - change anything? j_bot prefers the Greek model. And he'll play his lyre as it all burns to the ground.
  6. Are these your man boobs? Poor Prole - sporting the figure of a prepubescent teenage girl, he longs for pec's... or breasts... anything to evolve out of his hermaphroditic physique.
  7. :lmao:
  8. Attention everyone: j_bot is not only a SCIENTIST but an ACADEMIC! :lmao:
  9. Irrelevant. Abuse is abuse - if you a actually do more than pay lip service to the "ideals" of the OWS protestors - you know about how the 1% is taking it all and leaving shit for the 99%. In the end however, we the public - the TAXPAYERS - fund the public sector, including these abusive and ridiculous high-end premium pensions, so we can actually control this bullshit in the public sector. These fools are accountable to us. Seems like the logical place to start, but logic is not your forte (neither is consistency).
  10. 500K/year publicly-funded annual pensions for the elite public sector employees... nothing to see here! move along! And then you claim to be sympathetic to the OWS and the "99%".
  11. Don't get your shorts twisted son. Tweaks, such as going to all 401k plans, increased employee contributions for health care, and shaving off salaries at the top end would lend substantial savings. The present standard isn't sustainable. cue up j_bot response about Monte Carlo gambling in 3...2...1...
  12. I don't need to make up jackshit. There are abuses and they should be rescinded but 800 people out of 100k is less than 1%, which is a far cry from pro-austerity types claiming that "public employees" make too much money and are responsible for state debt. Right on cue!
  13. I'm sure j_bot will manufacture some ridiculous justification for this nonsense.
  14. It's best to be truthful in advertising.
  15. Ozzy is constitutionally ineligible. Take his buddy Zakk instead. Ozzy can be his chief of staff.
  16. I can see the campaign slogans now: "Kill 'em and Grill 'em", "Do the Wango Tango!", ...
  17. Thanks much Dane and others!
  18. Swiftboating. Palin Bachman Cain Gingrich Obama Kerry Gore Clinton Oh right, I forget. "Your side" is above shit like that. FANTASY WORLD: you has it! The sociopaths on the left have it mastered. It's not just about politics or voting record for your kind - or even personal conduct- no, it's as mean and personal as you can make it (faith, family, physical appearance)
  19. Swiftboating. Palin Bachman Cain Gingrich
  20. The politics of personal destruction: it's what the sociopath left does best.
  21. You should visit your local fruit stand - you'll find prices that beat the cost of cat food. Also, try planting a garden.
  22. No. I guess I thought those were just for expedition/high-altitude climbing (e.g. Denali, Himalayas). Tell me more.
  23. Screw the presidential pardon this year. Let's get back to our roots and have Barry lop off a turkey's head with a hatchet. Maybe he could scare the super-committee into action as a side-effect.
  24. I'm looking to buy warmer boots than my heavier boots (Scarpa Freney) as they get colder than I'd like for overnighters with temps well below freezing. Any recommendations our there? This would be for winter/spring climbs of stuff like Hood, Rainier/Gib Ledges, but not going much more technical than say triple couloirs or stuart glacier couloir. As for fit, most Scarpas work well for me. I am thinking plastics but would like ones that don't lose too much feel and flex for more technical pitches.
