I always prefer the rock scrambling of the SE ridge to that funky S face. Low class 5, minimal rack. I don't remember loose rock.

Good suggestions ...thanks. I've seen some of them, and I'll check out the others. I've been working my way through a couple of TV series: The Wire, and the old Kung Fu w/ David Carradine. I watch Kung Fu with my boys and we discuss the zen philosophy bits. It's a damn good show.

I have the Asus eee with the 10" screen. It's good for traveling: I dump photos to it and surf and email while on the road.
