  1. I sized my demortos 1/2 size up from my mythos. I wear 10.5-11 street shoe, 41.5 Mythos, 42 demortos. They stretched a little, but not much. Basically you can size them to fit I think. Maybe the black color will suck on long summer routes, but I dont think it will be a major problem. In my experience, the hottest part of the shoe is pretty much always the rubber anyway. I suppose Mythos got some bonus cool points for being purple, but now they dont even have that going for them.
  2. Regarding the Evolv Demortos that I posted, they are by far the best shoe I have ever owned. I cant imagine climbing in Mythos again after wearing these. They fit super comfy and climb great. I have used them at vantage, red rocks, leavenworth and the gym and have not been disappointed at all. If you like Mythoses, you should really check these out because you will probably end up buying a pair.
  3. If your uncle Jack was stuck on the roof of his house, would you help your uncle Jack off?
  4. I have driven front wheel drive cars my whole life and have never chained up to go skiing (typically 50-100 days/year in college). I ran studs for a while, then when I got a nicer FWD I bought some of the modern studless tires. IMO FWD with snow tires is about equal to 4WD with all seasons when driving on plowed roads. FWD with snow tires provides better braking. 4WD kills FWD when the snow gets a little deeper.
  5. Easy climbing. Probably because it is easier than hard climbing.
  6. I basically have the whole week off and would like to get out and climb as much as weather allows. I am up for cragging, alpine climbing and skiing. I'd even consider driving in search of ice if you have some recent beta. I have a car and a van as well as most necessary group gear for pretty much anything.
  7. There is the new Whitlaw guide on moderate rock climbs throughout the state including some less publicized areas.
  8. RMI guides ID earlier in the season so I'd imagine there will be a rabbit trail to the summit.
  9. 5.10 Insights are super comfy for me. They dont breathe great, but otherwise I am really happy with them. They have a non-dot stealth sole.
  10. Sounds like I missed a good time.
  11. Awesome TR. Sounds like a good time.
  12. Skipped work and went to alpental today. 25 degrees, gorgeous blue sky, ~30" of recent snow and only moderate avy hazard. Got to the top of the quad and find out that Ch 2 crapped out and is out of commission for at least the day if not the weekend. It was too painful to ride the quad with all that beautiful snow lingering overhead so we stashed our snowboards and went teleskiing at Ski Acres instead. Gorgeous day, but not the powderfest I had hoped for. If Ch 2 opens this weekend will rock.
  13. Slap game is awesome
  14. Ahh, I too have fallen off the horse. I went tele skiing last night for the first time. I picked up the skis for dirt cheap on steepandcheap.com a few months back. Finally got around to using them and it was a lot of fun. I still want a split board, but teleskiing does seem to make for a fun alternative. Plus it is fun to learn something new again. I hadn't been downhill skiing for 12+ years, but it came back pretty naturally. The tele part is taking some work, but seems manageable.
  15. I was initially pretty worried about the weight of the MYO, but I figured carrying the extra weight would be great hyper-gravity training for my upcoming euro sendfest.
  16. I have a MYO XP that IMO is the best headlamp ever. Before that I had the BD Xenix, which had some issues but was still pretty good. I suppose this Spot competes more with the Tikka XP than the MYO. Regardless, high wattage LEDs kick ass and will probably replace traditional bulbs altogether in the coming years.
  17. That is pretty awesome chriss
  18. Maybe it is a Nomic prototype.
  19. Bump. Updated original post to reflect sold items. Still more stuff to come when I get pictures taken.

  23. I have REI visa too. I use it whenever I can for big purchases. Got $170 back. Might switch to an airline Visa at some point, but we'll see.
  24. Anyone know if this would work for a thermos too?
