  1. I just picked up some of these from Evil Empire. They feel like the greatest comfy trad shoe ever. Like Mythos minus all the drawbacks like bad rubber and massive stretch. I hope to get out this weekend and will report back. If they suck then they are going back to the store, but I have pretty high hopes right now. http://www.evolvesports.com/DEMORTO.htm
  2. http://www.boreme.com/boreme/funny-2006/brokeback-to-the-future-p1.php?emf=1 Work Safe IMO
  3. cc.com weather.com NWAC.NOAA.GOV UW climbing club www.websudoku.com (A very recent addiction)
  4. What are these websites you speak of? I turn on my internet and it takes me here. Where else could I go?
  5. doh, www.biddingfortravel.com The site rocks. Expect to save ~50% vs orbitz rates.
  6. I am kind of intrigued by the new montrails with the memory foam. The bill some of them as crack shoes, but still say to use a tight fit. I wonder if the memory foam makes jamming with curled toes tolerable. The new women's 5.10 sirens look nice, but there is no men's equivalent.
  7. Shipping would be about $10. PM me if interested.
  8. btw 60m x 9.8mm to 10.2mm would be a good workhorse rope. Brand isn't super important as long as it is certified. Usually Fat = Durable, Skinny=lightweight there is always some compromise.
  9. If you need to make full length raps, use either two half ropes or a single rope and an ultra skinny tag line (I think some people go as thin as 6mm, but 7mm is probably a lot more manageable and 8mm is even better) This should be a static line that is maybe 20-30 ft longer than your dynamic line so that they have the same stretched length. A surprising number of multipitch routes have single rope descents and walk offs, so you might not always need the tag line.
  10. I are so suck! The Camp is about the same size as a #4 Camalot, but with less total range and a narrower profile. It is probably lighter than a #3 camalot though.
  11. I think the pot is 775ml. The gaiters have a sale pending. Not sure if shipping would be worthwhile on just the pot. If the gaiters fall through, I'll let you know.
  12. Check out www.bidfortravel.com for more priceline tips and tricks.
  13. Unfortunately the nodder has passed on
  14. But wouldnt you rather have a NoZone that hasn't been humped to death by a and $5 less to boot
  15. Sadly, most of the best routes are also the most popular. The ones that get a lot of traffic have way less loose rock and are often justifiably popular. Are you looking for cracks or sport climbs? Most people start at Sunshine wall because it has lots of good routes and gets sun. Any of the 3 and 4 star routes in the book are pretty good IMO. A few Suggestions 5.6 - Stokin the Chicken (hard 5.6 IMO) 5.7 - Seven Virgins and a Mule 5.8 - Crossing the threshold, Vantage Point 5.9 - Don Coyote, Tangled Up in Blue There are a bunch more too. PS, wear a helmet!

  19. Givler's rocks! If it was too easy for you, why not just climb one of the harder routes to the left. Or that 5.13 Skinner crack up there.
  20. Where is that at?
  21. Oaxaca on Ballard Ave is hands down my favorite mexican restaurant I like Aqua Verde a lot for lunch Guyamas on green lake is very good. Other Guyamas on Leary is good too for fast mexican I also think the burritos at Beso Del Sol in Wallingford rock There are a lot of other generic mexican family style restauants around that hit the spot, but aren't necessarily anything special.
  22. Wife can't be too happy about that. (couldnt resist)
  23. Thanks
