  1. Only in Oregon
  2. Call it. Nothing wrong with getting some and before some more and slides. So... what's close? Who's in?
  3. Damn... you're right I'll come up for the other show though. The Roots play in Portland on Tuesday!
  4. If I make it that way this weekend I'll chop 'em. Anybody know who bolted this?
  5. Did you see any bolts on the summit pinnacle on Thielsen?
  6. Work up on the bias AD. BD and Americana place equally fast and are both excellent screws but I switched from BD to Grivel Americanas last year because the position of the knob on the grivel americana screw allows you to get the screw started before you flip the knob out easier/faster (by palming the screw) but more importantly your hand doesn't come off the screw when flipping out the knob so you don't risk the screw falling out while reaching for the knob (like in the case of the BD screw). This likely doesn't make any sense reading it but will make sense if you play around with the two models. I only carry a few 360s as they are a bitch to rack... I save them for the "hurry and place this" times as they place faster than any other screw I have used. I didn't like the sonics when I used them.
  7. Sounds good to me: Low brow Lounge Review Consensus?
  8. I have a panpipe. Great for cragging... too heavy for alpine. Carries the 360 (or whatever) nicely. You can also rack 2 360s on one ice clipper (I prefer the petzl ones)... if you have multiple ice clippers you can get approx 6 on your harness.
  9. I'm out for tonight Bridgeport is still closed for remodel so no dice there. Can anyone think of any other bars in the pearl that will actually let us in?
  10. I'd loan you one of mine but I am in PDX... not sure if that will help... if you are headed this way and want to borrow one let me know.
  11. Not going to happen my friend. If the hole isn't that big just tape it up for the weekend and then send it back on Monday...
  12. No... I owe you a beer for the last favor! Schweet, but how can you hook a salt shaker to the heel spur to get and keep the slugs off? No prob... I'll post pics next week
  13. I have always sent all my bibler repairs back to BD but then again I have never put a pole through the floor. Rainy does do good work Bummer on the tent
  14. Grivel Americana and 360 Edit: If you are using CM for charlet moser and P for Petzl keep in mind they are the same company now (called Petzl Charlet).
  15. How about this: And if your name is Bill, first is on me! Better? Hell yeah we got rained on... you know you have issues when your idea of a great time is climbing shitty rock at night in the rain with ice tools Regardless had 5 people last night! Good times! I will soon begin work on my design for an antibott plate that prevents mud from bailing up on my crampons
  16. Fine with me... just call it. Move discussion here .
  17. When you're hot... You're HOTT! Or it just could be you have a good thermos
  18. I say for once we should get together and drink some beers! How about a PDX PUB CLUB Wed Nov 9th at 5ish (or so) before we hike over to the Timmy O'Neill slide show? Who's in? I vote for s at the Rogue Ale house unless someone can think of somewhere closer to Patagonia... suggestions? And if your name is Bill first is on me!
  19. Oh shit... my bad... I thought it was at US Outdoor as AFIVE posted it. If it is at Patagonia I say we prefunk at Rogue Ales Public House on Flanders St (same street as the Pearl REI) unless some can think of a venue closer to Patagonia... anybody? The Rogue ale house is only like 5 minutes away... PDX Roll Call! Who's going to come out for a pub club?
  20. Yep. I would highly advise take off one side of the plastic handle and drill from the inside out as the whole handle is not plastic... there is a lot of metal in there you will likely hit (and not be able to drill). PM me if you have any questions. Yes again though the spring thing (grivel) is cut at a length more specific for attaching to the true bottom of tools... not slightly higher like my modification. Because of this you will come up short on the really long reaches for placements. To avoid this I girth hitch a 12" runner through my belay loop and then attach the spring thing to this. Works great so far! Enjoy your tools Kurt! They are sweet!
  21. Modify for the alpine.
  22. wearing a windshirt. Identify color of windshirt and I'll return
  23. Preshow Seattle Pub club anyone?
