Hey if anyone isn't headed that way till late Friday night/Sat morning Marcus Donaldson (the alpine ropegun friendly green giant himself) is looking for a ride share... he is based out of PDX but could drive east and meet any of you eastern WA kids somewhere on I-84 if needed. PM me or Marcus if this works for you...

Josh Ritter will be playing shows in Seattle on June 3rd and 4th and Portland June 6th. You can get tickets online or at the door (if you're willing to chance it not selling out). If you’re a six feet under on HBO junkie Josh performs the song during the end credits in episode 32 “Making Love Work”. Supposedly Josh is considered folk music… or at least that is most commonly where you will find his CDs. I honestly think he sounds like a young Dylan (more so on the golden age of radio album). But that is neither here nor there… the kid is talented. And before you start talking shit about folk music I will warn you it was Fern the Canadian ice basher herself that introduced me to Josh so if you’re going to talk shit don’t say I didn’t warn you I would highly encourage you to stream his new album here And download a couple mp3s here Girl in the War comes highly recommended I got tickets for his PDX show already… let me know if you are thinking about going. Maybe we can turn this into a pub club or something

Damn it Craig! I get shut down 2 weekends in a row and then you go bag it the next weekend! Obviously your success depended on the boot pack I and others installed Good work d00d! You almost got all the north side routes done! -

Yeah... I almost bought the farm at 16 on a steep snow route on North Sister... ripped all the pro and my partners belay anchor... we went a couple 100' before his body impacting a rock stopped the fall . He fractured his foot through his plastic boot among other injuries and went into shock... I just got meatloaf arms out the deal. We managed to get out unassisted only to have me fall asleep behind the wheel on the drive home and drift through oncoming traffic and some how live through that too (no damage to my car either!). That one fucked with me a little but the one that still kinda haunts me is Ivans 40 m fall off/down the Ice Cliff on Stuart... turns my stomach still and that was 2 winters ago. I still kinda have a hard time climbing with guys who are married or (even worse) have kids... No reason to hang it up... the key is learning from this experience. Have you had a level 1 avy? -

HOLY FLYING FUCK SHIT! Glad to hear you and your partner didn't buy the farm!!! How are you feeling? Back still jacked up? Did you partner need stiches from his puncture wounds? How many? How big were the snow blocks? Various sizes? Did it seem like a slab or point release avy? Did you get a look at the face after it happen? Any estimate on how far down the face you were swept? 600 bucks sucks but being that you're still alive I'd say you got a good deal out of it... DAMN! -
So I don't use leashes... does that mean I don't have an ?

I'll be there... depending on what time I roll my butt out of bed I might be solo TRing on phylynx or something... I'll come find you around 9 though. Bring your pry bar and other trundling goodies and maybe we can take care of that rock above the DT area
