Dude... don't you have any sick days you can use? Can you extend your last day so you can have Friday and Monday off? WTF?
-
Need to be able to leave PDX around 6 pm this Thursday (4th) or meet us somewhere on I-84 if you live east of PDX. We will be coming back late Monday night so you need Friday and Monday off. PM me soon.

Yard Sale -
If you're talking about eBay listing no I have never listed anything as I have never sold anything on ebay. Even if I did I would never list it in the yard sale as I know Fern could and would whoop my ass If you're talking about whining I would argue that considering the fact that my world has gone to absolute shit in the past 6 months I think I've done a descent job of keeping my head up and my lower lip sucked in. But like I said in the first post... you be the judge. Here's to motherfucking 2006

Ebay whining or back door ebay advertisement??? You be the judge...

Improvement over the old design? Yes. So much improvement that it merits dropping some cash for an entire new set even if your old set isn't worn out (kinda like how a lot of us bought new camalots even though our old ones weren't worn out yet)? I would say no. But that is me. Assuming I was in need of replacing some worn out aliens would I buy the old design at discount from mgear or the new design from someone else at full price? I would say the new design. Is the new design lighter than the old design? Not noticeable but likely... Main advantage of the new design? Cleaner cable pull. The mother teresa of gear whores? I would argue I just have my fiscal priorities in order... Maybe you need to ask your wife for a raise in your weekly allowance

I own 2 of the new design: grey/yellow and grey/red hybrids (but the new design is for both regular and hybrid I believe). I suspect that is why everyone is having a sale on them... make rooom for the new stock. I'll bring them to climb night next time and you can check them out.

Ice climb practice area before 8/5/06 (Seattle)

Tell me Daniel... what is it going to take for me to get you to climb some alpine with me this year? Carry your stuff? Beer? -
Colin: I have a few dirtbag friends that will go hang out at the local home depot and solicit contractors as they leave the place when they need work... seems to work. Also here in PDX (not sure if you guys have something similar in SEA) a large pool of "motivated individuals" gather on MLK Blvd each morning and contractors will drive by and hire them on the spot for work... maybe they have something like that in SEA? Good luck! Keep living the dream!

Foam is similar to the best hero ice you have ever ever climbed... only better. Just a simple flick of the wrist and your tools are set... in fact getting a tool stuck seems to be more of a problem there then ripping a placement. Worth a visit or two once ice season gets here... aren't you guys like at least a month early to start pulling on the rails? Speaking of ice comps Marcus D and I working on putting together an ice season kickoff party at a location yet to be determined in PDX... something to get ice climbers and folks interested in ice climbing together to shoot the shit... talk about training tips... road trips people are planning on... you know... general spray Maybe break out the angle grinder so people can sharpen their tools up. If you are interested in making this happen give me a shout! I'm going to do my best to get some vendors there so people can demo tools too... I think between Marcus, myself and a few vendors we should just about every ice tool on the market available to try out. Now if we can just get TG to donate a keg... -
The "I live in Portland, OR and want to climb thread" first page and 42 pages later Basically people who want to climb or are climbing some where around PDX post it there and as long as you keep an eye on it you shouldn't have a hard time connecting. Next climb night is this Thursday! And Steve: PM DanielHarro... I think he is still in Redmond.

I don't know if you could handle the approach though Rudy Mad props to REI for giving me a new # 3 camalot
