  2. https://www.snohomishcountywa.gov/624/Index-Galena-Rd---MP-64-69---Index-2023 November 4th! I'm not gonna lie, I kinda of liked the road being out....just because it cut down on the # of people up in that area when I drove around to get there. But I'm sure it sucked for people who live up there!
  3. I had it to myself! Slept in my truck up at overnight lot, was just on a random wander. Woke up at 5am and went down there, that shot is lit by the full moon. But..it wasn't long before the hoards started showing up. I left and went down to hike up Church mtn.
  4. I found this rare perspective. Let me know if you want to coordinates!

  6. I got this belaying harness for my dog but wondering how the hell I teach him to belay me. Normally he just runs ahead and sniffs out things and then occasionally checks in with me to make sure I haven’t died yet. I’m not convinced that he will give me an attentive belay if there are squirrels in the area. Please help.
  7. https://ktvz.com/news/crime-courts/2023/10/20/background-emerges-about-portland-climber-accused-of-planning-mass-shooting-at-smith-rock-weekend-event/ that ain’t good!
  8. A few more: I had Fred signed this for my son. Kind of want to hunt down a few of these...
  9. is that the "first edition" of the Leavenworth guide by Beckey? Doesn't have the fancy picture on the cover like mine.
  10. That Oly fishing guide, I have a copy of that. Funny to see it is going for around $5 or $100 on Amazon right now. Have seens someone elses copy of that Burdo book. The Mines and Treasures book looks awesome! Does it give good directions to the treasure? My parents have a huge trove of books like this, I'm not sure they have that one though.
  11. intensely wonderful mixed climbing
  12. I want to see what other people have
  13. I have more but last for tonight. Another of Cascade Climber royalty (and he’s pilot/photographer first!): The “Washburn of the Cascades”, John Scurlock. Do pick up your own copy!
  14. Sir @layton . Cascade Climber royalty. Who could ever forget stinky? Dude did not miss a promotional moment, and I admire the hell out of him for it. Did sone awesome stuff up here, I think he is down in California now. The forward has words from Fred Beckey and Marc LeClerc (both RIP).
  15. Portland Rocks! I have never opened this book.
  16. whitelaw. I’m sure I met him, never climbed with him though.
  17. Victor Kramer! These books are a gateway drug.
  18. This is a favorite of mine. Wish I could travel back in time and be in the trips in this book.
  19. I got my Boy Scout hiking merit badge on a hike with this guy up the Greywolf. He was a friend of Gary Snyder I guess. I just remember he had an awesome place up Snow Creek but I guess he moved to Sequim or something.
  20. Ever heard of these guys? It’s more like a pamphlet than a book.
  21. Share what you got. I’m curious what books I’m missing or never heard of. I have a bunch, old and new that mean something to me. I’ll share.
  22. https://www.seattletimes.com/life/outdoors/duo-climbs-was-100-tallest-peaks-in-107-days-biking-to-every-trailhead/ another article, front page of the ST. What an impressive accomplishment.
  23. We should start a Mountain Guild. Not psyched about this posting but if it gets one person here a job I guess that is cool. I'll let all you decide thumbs up or thumbs down or meh.
