Great pubclub! Congrats on Kurt for winning the story telling contest, though Wayne and as always Stuart gave him a solid run for the money. Thanks for coming out. Next one will be in 3 weeks.

See you guys at around 7pm at Beveridge Place.

well it has taken years. there are a ton of very young and talented players on the team. Seager, Miller, Ackley, Smoak...all those guys are really just figuring it out and all of them added over the last 2-3 years or so. They added a couple "who knows" veterans (one of them paying off last night) and the big contract (Cano). Pitching wise, its Felix, Kuma, and a bunch of really young guys. I think they are the 6th youngest team in baseball. Agree, I would take over .500 this year and better next. Otherwise, Z should be getting the hook.

Interesting development, related to the topic: http://seattletimes.com/html/localnews/2023324612_greenmountainlookoutxml.html WASHINGTON — Congress has agreed to save the Green Mountain Lookout near Darrington in Snohomish County, permanently blocking a federal judge's order to remove the popular hiking destination in the remote Glacier Peak Wilderness. A House voice vote on the issue Monday followed similarly expedited passage last Thursday in the Senate, where Democratic Sens. Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell secured unanimous support. The congressional action marks the final word on a legal fight that began in 2010 when Missoula-based Wilderness Watch sued the U.S. Forest Service shortly after the agency rebuilt the crumbling 1930s-era lookout cabin. The legislation now goes to President Obama, who has indicated support for the lookout. The environmental group argued the repairs — which involved more than 60 helicopter flights and use of rock drills and other power tools where even bicycles are banned — violated a tenet of the 1964 Wilderness Act to preserve areas of nature largely devoid of the “imprint of man’s work.” In March 2012, U.S. District Court Judge John Coughenour in Seattle found the Forest Service guilty of “substantive violation” of the Wilderness Act and ordered the lookout dismantled. But in response to the Forest Service’s arguments that removal would be worse than the offense, the judge gave the agency a chance to come up with another remedy. The bill Congress passed is that solution. It prevents the Forest Service from removing the lookout unless it is deemed unsafe for visitors. George Nickas, executive director of Wilderness Watch, said the vote sets a dangerous precedent by tailoring the definition of wilderness “to appease local constituency.” ... -

I think it is Cafe Vita that has made some cold brewing contraption they are using? Seems like cold brewing is growing in popularity.

Beverage Place is in West Seattle...its down at the Fauntleroy Junction. Are you coming? Thursday night.
-
its good man...which toddy brewer do you have? I honestly had no idea that method existed...only heard of "hot toddies" which to me was coffee with alcohol.
-
LOL. Well so far its just you and me Stewart...but its on! I could go for any one of those places....Bev Place is closest to me and I love that place. I want to hear about more about the sailboat racing. What class of boats?

OK! Lets do pubclub this week. Wednesday or Thursday will work for me. I would prefer Georgetown or West Seattle, but I'm open to a location that will result in the biggest turnout. Again, I've got free CC.com t-shirts (in limited sizes) to give out and a Seattle Bouldering pass to give away. Reply if you can come, and if so your preferred location. I'll make an executive decision on the location after feedback. Gracias!

mmmmm....I picked up a back of Yemeni cofee from Lighthouse. The smell when I opened the bag was like they had a cat piss all over the roasted beans. BUT! It does taste great. Its a really unusual taste compared to what I've been drinking, but it is really good. http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/k/kopiluwak.htm#.U0LW261dU3E
