its good man...which toddy brewer do you have? I honestly had no idea that method existed...only heard of "hot toddies" which to me was coffee with alcohol.
  3. LOL. Well so far its just you and me Stewart...but its on! I could go for any one of those places....Bev Place is closest to me and I love that place. I want to hear about more about the sailboat racing. What class of boats?
  4. OK! Lets do pubclub this week. Wednesday or Thursday will work for me. I would prefer Georgetown or West Seattle, but I'm open to a location that will result in the biggest turnout. Again, I've got free CC.com t-shirts (in limited sizes) to give out and a Seattle Bouldering pass to give away. Reply if you can come, and if so your preferred location. I'll make an executive decision on the location after feedback. Gracias!

mmmmm....I picked up a back of Yemeni cofee from Lighthouse. The smell when I opened the bag was like they had a cat piss all over the roasted beans. BUT! It does taste great. Its a really unusual taste compared to what I've been drinking, but it is really good. http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/k/kopiluwak.htm#.U0LW261dU3E

  8. Unfortunately I've had something come up, so I'm cancelled/postponing this till next week. So it will be April 10 instead.
  9. Who can make it tomorrow?

    monroe, wa

Anyone at Index during the week is obviously smoking the meth.
  11. that was a large slide. how recent was "B" I wonder?
  12. Come on man, if you come, I'll give you the pass you won at the last one
  13. Lets do the Beveridge Place in West Seattle.
  14. Jason, when you say "rotational", what is actually rotating? It is just the whole mass of the slide?
  15. ah catbird! Remember catturdeat? Do you know who that was?
  16. Welcome to the site! I'm originally from Olympic Peninsula (Forks>Quilcene>Port Angeles) so thus my username (no, I have nothing to do with Olympia). I'm in Seattle now. Having the Olympics as your backyard playground is awesome! The peaks you mention are great adventures. I would add a couple of my favorites to your list, and these are a bit easier but still great scrambles you can do in a day (if you haven't already done them): Mt Stone The Brothers If you are comfortable with the routefinding/navigation and exposure on these ones you may be ready for Deception or Constance (depending on the season/route/conditions). Olympus is the only one of the three that has a lot of glacier travel and a summit block that you'll want to rope up on (not saying you won't want to use a rope for the others, depends on the route and conditions and your risk acceptance). I used to know more people in PT, but most have moved on!
  17. OK, so next Pubclub is Thursday April 3rd. Come meet up, get one of the remaining T-shirts I have to give out, and maybe win a Seattle Bouldering Project pass card. I think I only have Large and XL T-shirts left. Meet up with potential climbing partners, swap spring and summer plans, and share a drink with friends old and new.
  18. See it here
  19. Man, if it was Mill Creek Utah, things would be different! I wish I could help you more than this: Obviously you probably know the nearest gym is probably Everett. Don't ever rule out the bus as a method of getting around. I used to live out on the Olympic Peninsula, and while it took a while, the bus got me to places I really wanted to go. One of the best alpine climbers to come out of the Northwest is Colin Haley, and he just found a way to make it happen when he was a teenager. He found people who were willing to drive him (friends, parents, whatever), or rode the bus, whatever. Transportation is totally an obstacle you can overcome. Sorry, I don't know anything to climb on in that area, but maybe try being a little more resourceful with your transportation options. I'm betting you can get to some great climbing. Good luck man, and welcome to CC.com! Feel free to PM me if you have any questions or need any help. I can't give you any rides because I'm not in that area, but maybe someone else can (though I'd get your parents OK before getting any rides with someone you don't know!)
  20. Did Greg write this, or did you? I have to say, if you wrote it, thats a pretty hilarious ...writing from your partners point of view. And even if Greg wrote it, great TR. Thanks for posting!
  21. Its funny I keep hearing that Facebook is the next site that will die off, like Myspace did (reborn as something else I guess), or Friendster. I know my son (12 going on 13) isn't interested in Facebook because thats for old people...he and his friends are on Instagram. The kids will choose their own path. Facebook is great for staying in touch with family and friends you wouldn't want to talk to otherwise. I would probably consider deleting my account, but then my mom would have a harder time getting ahold of me.
  22. Wow, it really is on the brink of going in.
  23. Awesome! Did you take any pictures??? Ah...i see the note about photos! Can't wait to see them! Thank you!
