  1. There's a really good Mexican on the north side of the hwy. Unfortunately, there is a Mex place every four feet in SW, and I can't remember the name of this one. The outside of the bulding is noisily painted, and there are usually some low-rider cars out front.

There once was a sauce called the Otter To put on your food to make hotter But the joke got too old and grew it some mold No longer was it good laugh fodder.

DFA, bat these naysayers down! Can't you just say "juvenile limrickal hazing" and get rid of that crazy apostophated cobbleage? Or would calling Drul out as being juvenile in the context of this whole thread seem a little, well, I dunno.
  4. Touche. Edited for brevity.

Drul is right, and the remix was a little off too. The remix got an edit, and all is well now.
  6. The lodge at the other end of the lake is a nice way to kick off and end your trip. Don't miss the Mud Pie or the smoked trout. They also sell the trout in the gift shop so you can take some with ya. If you get a room with shared bathroom it's pretty cheap to stay at the lodge. boat ride=$6 each way I went last September for hiking and fishing, and also visited the Warbonnet Basin. There is a pretty popular climb back in there on Warbonnet Peak. It's a great area, have fun. Loads of snaffles, though. Good fishing too.
  7. picture Seems that the image tags are not working, but there's a nice picture of it anyway.

Whaddayamean, chump? I took your mealymouthed lim and made it into a lean, mean, syncopated humor machine!

Klenkee, too manneee sylabbleeess!!!! Here's the remix: There once was a fine lass of snug top Who nixed all sex with karate chop chops Then a fag from Niagara Got wood with Viagra And now she sashays with this notfop.
  10. The earbuds Oly's talking about are the Sony EX71 or EX51. Same exact earbud with same performance, but with the 71s you get a longer cord option and they also come in white. There is no need to pay full retail for them if you do some shopping around. So if you want everyone to know you have an ipod, get the 71s in white. Otherwise, the 51s work great. If any of you MP3 users have these 'buds and want to trade the silicon insert thingies so that you can have an extra set in the right size, I have Smalls or Larges that I could send in exchange for Mediums. Apparently they are pretty spendy to get from Sony.
  11. No, I have been happy with my Nike (made by Citizen) too. The only thing I don't like is the strap, but not being a regular watch-wearer, I'm guessing no band is going to feel all that good.
  12. Good: Thomas Dolby "I Scare Myself" Bangles: "Hazy Shade of Winter" Presidents: "Kick out the Jams" Bad: That one Stevie Nicks song that went Top Ten again last year. Stevie Nicks is bad enough as it is, don't remake the stuff!!
  13. I'm not a youger parent, but I was a little kid in the woods. I think my favorite place when I was that age was probably Mt. Rainier, though by 12 or so I had evolved to being an Alpine Lakes Wilderness snob. If you are talking sooner rather than later, this time of year you might find fun things to do around Potholes. There is all that stuff south of the reservoir, nice car camping, easy hiking, and fishin.' Have fun. These are memories that kid will have for a lifetime.
  14. Add "interesting life". Delete most of the above. Repeat as necessary.

  16. I guess it just doesn't seem all that shocking to me that this administration would be manipulating the press.
  17. Not sure what the point of the Maher video is. Somebody slipped thru the Secret Service screening process?
  18. Mike, it sounds like you're doing all the right things. And yes, dating sucks.

  22. So theoretically, that logout page should be the first thing I go to at cc? As in, delete others from my faves, and start there? Thanks, I shall start with that. I will give it a try. As you stated, I know it is all my fault, and I am doing something wrong, no matter what computer, what browser, and what connection I am using. Thank you sir, may I have another?
  23. I just did a little Googling around, and the King cut off phone service last weekend again. The State Department website is way out of date on things, but news articles would indicate the country is in some pretty serious turmoil right now. Besides the king stifling democracy, there are insurgent uprisings and the US Gov't is not happy about the harboring of terrorists. It looks like the possibility of civil war and/or a closing of the US Embassy, and/or some kind of military action on the part of the US gov't might be pretty real possibilities. But you probably already know all of this if you are planning to go in the next couple of months. At the very least, it might not be a bad idea to register with the Embassy over there so at least they know you are there, should things go even more sideways. Seems like a tough time to go there.
  24. Eggzackly. I'm going to try to adjust the cookie settings, but I'm just sayin', I don't have this problem anywhere but on cc.
  25. I've been happy with the Nike, but don't find it comfortable, so it's usually strapped to my pack or whatever. Problem with the Helixes is that they freak out when they are near sea level. They don't register below sea level, so if you are near sea level and the barometric pressure changes, it gives you a weird error message. I can't remember what you have to do to undo this, as the one I bought went right back to Crapmor once I discovered the problem. Last year they had the Nike altis at the North Bend Nike outlet store for $50 without the digi compass and $100 with. I didn't get out as much as usual last season due to a little bit o' surgery, but had it up to about 9500 or so I think.
