  3. I guess it just doesn't seem all that shocking to me that this administration would be manipulating the press.
  4. Not sure what the point of the Maher video is. Somebody slipped thru the Secret Service screening process?
  5. Mike, it sounds like you're doing all the right things. And yes, dating sucks.

    Anyone??
  9. So theoretically, that logout page should be the first thing I go to at cc? As in, delete others from my faves, and start there? Thanks, I shall start with that. I will give it a try. As you stated, I know it is all my fault, and I am doing something wrong, no matter what computer, what browser, and what connection I am using. Thank you sir, may I have another?
  10. I just did a little Googling around, and the King cut off phone service last weekend again. The State Department website is way out of date on things, but news articles would indicate the country is in some pretty serious turmoil right now. Besides the king stifling democracy, there are insurgent uprisings and the US Gov't is not happy about the harboring of terrorists. It looks like the possibility of civil war and/or a closing of the US Embassy, and/or some kind of military action on the part of the US gov't might be pretty real possibilities. But you probably already know all of this if you are planning to go in the next couple of months. At the very least, it might not be a bad idea to register with the Embassy over there so at least they know you are there, should things go even more sideways. Seems like a tough time to go there.
  11. Eggzackly. I'm going to try to adjust the cookie settings, but I'm just sayin', I don't have this problem anywhere but on cc.
  12. I've been happy with the Nike, but don't find it comfortable, so it's usually strapped to my pack or whatever. Problem with the Helixes is that they freak out when they are near sea level. They don't register below sea level, so if you are near sea level and the barometric pressure changes, it gives you a weird error message. I can't remember what you have to do to undo this, as the one I bought went right back to Crapmor once I discovered the problem. Last year they had the Nike altis at the North Bend Nike outlet store for $50 without the digi compass and $100 with. I didn't get out as much as usual last season due to a little bit o' surgery, but had it up to about 9500 or so I think.
  13. Isn't the political situation in Nepal kinna messed up right now?
  14. I think we really need a new forum to discuss this.
  15. Still having this problem, and with both my home computer and my laptop. Also, the "post" link on this forum, for starting a new thread, that doesn't work. Also, the only "search" thing I can find is the one on the front page, and it doesn't do advanced searches. Sometimes when I am logged in, if I go to the entrance to use the search function, I can't because going to the Entrance usually logs me out.
  16. Where have all the chatters gone? Long time passing.
  17. I wonder why they are telling you that at the gym now. Isn't it better for business to NOT tell people they are paying for something they don't use?
  18. If you have access to a sewing machine, you can very easily make runaway straps with some webbing a bit of cord, and 4 d-rings. That's what I did. Easy, cheap, light. Mine are a webbing strap that comes up to make a ring of webbing around the boot with double d-rings to fasten, and a piece of cord at the other (binding) end that's small enough to thread through the hole on the binding. Took about 10 minutes to make. I don't think my bindings came with straps, just brakes.

    Are You Ready?

I got a fairly extensive exit interview in Singapore by the local police before boarding a plane that was eventually bound for the US, courtesy of the Department of Clownland Security. Your tax dollars at work. There were like a dozen agents doing this sort of work on our behalf, with our money. Don't these Clownland asshats realize that the bad guys are not going to use planes again? Redonkulous.
  22. There is one of those squatters over in Singapore that I used that I wouldn't even squat over. I feel bad, but dang, Westerners....if it's not a hole in the dirt, please, give me a seat with a ring and stuff. I guess Singapore isn't as clean as it was when I went there. I guess at least it was only pee and well...... Nice view out the ironwork there Ken!
  23. Let's get a chatter going now!! Edit: Not me, not with Firefox or Explorer tonight, apparently.
  24. There is one somewhere by Oval Peak in the Twisp Rv area. Discussion on this, and links to more rock glacier stuff can be seen here. I was in that general area a couple of times last summer and wish I'd known to go have a look.
  25. I think you mean to say "...your buddy who invented the Internet..."
