Mom made me some really cool socks. Dad gave money.

3 bottles of single-malt scotch. It would be a GREAT present for a Scotch drinker, but to me, Scotch tastes like you should be cleaning the floor with it. I want to like it, but I don't. Single barrel bourbon would have been a better choice.

That maneuver makes me violent. As does the "courtesy stand-off" at four way stops and unrestricted intersections. Is there really anything so bad about the "right of way" rule? So simple and easy to follow! See, I'm one of those people who thinks there should be some sort of testing and licensing program before people should be allowed to drive.

posting after a head decapitation

As long as you only move your eyes and not your entire head, you should be fine. Don't overdo it, and if you are doing PT for rehab, do the exercises. Those PTs know what they are talking about. As soon as possible, you want to start putting Vitamin e oil on that scar. Decaps leave weird scars, conversation piece not in a good way! Good luck on your recovery, keep us posted! -
I'm confused. Why was it locked?

Didn't you just buy a camera?

Jesus just called me. He said "tell that Seahawks guy that if he doesn't get a spell-checker, he is going straight to hell." I thought I ought to pass that on. Not sure if repenting will work unless a spell-checker is also somehow involved. He sounded pretty irritated. -
How soon to ski after broken leg?

If it were me, I'd hold off until next season. You will regret doing too much too soon. -
surgery on two limbs in a short period of time
marylou replied to marylou's topic in Fitness and Nutrition Forum
I've been holding off (procrastinating) starting up on water aerobics to give my wrist and ankle more time, but took my first class tonight. There were two other people who are obviously regulars who did the class at their own pace, and a very large lady who had special steps lowered into the pool so she could get in without using the ladder to get into the pool. She sort of floated around and chatted, but it beats the hell out of sitting on the couch until it's time to die. Water Aerobics is definitely "go at your own pace" and I found my workout very challenging. I drank a lot of water out my bottle by the side of the pool, and there were things that really hurt my wrist and ankle that made me back off a bit, but by and large, it's a tremendous workout. Very challenging. If my classmates are any indication, it's not going to make me get toned or skinny, but the deep muscles sure got a workout. It was pretty humbling. Very hard work. My abs are sore, and I reek of chlorine, so I'm off to a good start. -

Apparently even that is subjective. Just last week I met someone who told me he had climbed a 14K peak in AK called Mt. McKinley that is a completely different peak than the "Denali" referenced in this thread. I sort of didn't know how to respond to that. -

Fine to mention it in a classroom, just not one that is publically funded. Tax dollars don't pay for that kind of thing, that's for the private schools if they choose to teach that. -
I spend Christmas with friends and/or family, and no, it doesn't seem hypocritical to me. I consider the holidays to be about celebrating life, love, happiness, family, stuff like that.

Will you teach them not to hate gay people? -

Far from it, babycakes. This discussion should have several more pages of fun left in it! -
The NPs get all the dough they need. The FS on the other hand.....

Stuff bought by the US military has to be made in the States. OR has some manufacturing here in Seattle, and have been making gloves for the military for a long time. I guess I'm not sure what is so newsworthy about any of this.

Funny. I neither live in SF nor am a whipping boy of the ACLU, but I will not support the Boy Scouts in any way until they stop with the rules excluding atheists and gay people. I know a lot of you grownup types got dragged outside because you were in the Scouts, but nowadays the BSA have made far too much of their exclusions. What a terrible turn for a formerly quality organization. -

They sued to stop federal funding to the boy scouts. Thats why I no longer bank with Bank of America. Bank of America will not give a loan or bank account to atheists? Haha I guess I slipped under the wire! -

I'm gonna be a buttinski because I have asked this question of a few True Believers and by and large, they've said the non-believer is getting a one-way ticket to H E DoubleHockeySticks regardless of how "good" they were when bound in the mortal coil. Most say is has everything to do with accepting JCasLordandSavior and nothing to do with doing the right thing. It's a weird deal, and personally I think that if I got it wrong and the Jesus/God thing IS real, that people who did right by their fellow humans while alive will get in past them Pearly Gates, 'cuz from what I know about JC he didn't have too big an ego about his gig. He'd forgive. -

Yep, that's pretty much the way it has been explained to me. -
Nina always poured me a nice stiff drink back in the day, but something made me think she had ulterior motives for this formerly sweet young thang.

I don't think it's $80 at Pro Ski. They did mine and they did a good job.

How do we get them? I go the other style with the skull on it so you can tell me and Archy apart should we show up somewhere wearing our shirts. I still would like the skull on the back of the women's version, it will look better with less topography.

I prefer the Ballard venue. Haven't been to Dante's in a long time, but it used to be full of ill-tempered sorority girls and shitfaced frat boys. The Ballard place is a better choice IMO.

Yes please, preferably on the back.
