Folks, Greg Orton is organizing a trail day at the Callahans on 10/18 rain or shine. This is a great newer area, and the climbs are mostly sport, well bolted and fun. There is also bouldering to be had. If you can spare the time come on down. Check the bulletin board here for the beta.

On a completely unrelated but lighter note, a friend of mine back in 95 told me that a black bear destroyed his Bug (VW) up in the Cougar Hot springs parking lot. Naturally I called Bullshit, but he whipped out photos of his car getting totaled by a medium sized bear. They were awesome pics.

Yeah, they start to after 5 miles or so. backcountry skis are just so damn SPENDY Snowshoeing is just a relatively cheap way to get away.

just found some frozen peas with some particularly bad freezer burn...oh..o..oh yeah give me a couple minutes folks... There's a half gallon of ice cream that's been in my freezer for 2 years.
