  1. Has anyone ever done it? Is it a viable option for getting across the country? (This needs to be a round-trip venture, I have every intention of returning to the NW.) I just found out that I have quite a bit of time on my hands for the next month, but no money.
  2. I had wondered what your avatar image was. It's all clearer now. I think that should become a gremlin somehow... (obviously we can't use the image directly)
  3. well, I just got laid off for four weeks, so I'm up for drinkin' whenever! It's just gotta be dirt cheap.
  4. I agree, RBW. Copious amounts of alcohol are in order.
  5. kick ass!
  6. I'm guessing the Portland store would also take them if you don't want to drive all the way up to Seattle
  7. Big vehicles have their uses, and some people who have them actually do use them for what they are intended. Trask, your method of using a pickup to haul stuff around, while driving a small car otherwise (a WRX, right?) makes perfect sense to me. However, I don't care what you tell me, no one needs an expedition to commute to work in town, and anyone who buys an h2, escalade, or navigator should be run off the road for being an idiot. I mean, their car can handle off-road driving, right?
  8. I downloaded a SNES emulator and am playing Chrono Trigger this week
  9. Yeah, you probably know them, they're in PMR. They offered to let me take a look at them (I haven't had a chance yet), so I'll post something again once I see them.
  10. Has anyone had any experience with RBH Designs? I've had them highly recommended to me by two friends who were on Logan a few years ago. She gets really cold hands and said they worked great, so I'm really tempted to get a pair. Also, does anyone know of any other small companies making warm gloves/mittens that people may not know about?
  11. Agreed! That kicks ass!
  12. No, the point is, you can't keep your mouth shut when you should. Take a moment and look at the number of people who tell you you're an idiot versus the number of people who support you. You'll find the results are rather lopsided.
  13. My fitness routine is as follows: In winter: I do something active on Saturday and Sunday, go hiking Tuesday evenings for 3 hours, and sometimes hike on Thursday. I try to pull on plastic once a week. In summer: 3-day climbing trips are the norm, then I also hike on Tuesday nights and usually hike or climb at least one other evening during the week. Year-round: I take the stairs whenever possible, and take long-cuts when walking. I'm young and use that to my advantage.
  14. nah, he's not good enough for us cracked, it may surprise you to know this, but you really don't know anything yet. You're too young. Yet you continue to post like you're an expert on everything. The fact that you can't even listen when people tell you this proves this.
  15. holy crap! a thread being moved out of spray?!?
  16. no, but I'm interested! I'll have to look that one up and rent it.
  17. Don't forget about Heinrich Harrer! (although I guess he was Austrian) The Germans thought they owned Nanga Parbat, especially after so many of their countrymen died there before the first ascent. Thankfully for the German's, it was Buhl who got the FA (and probably had one of the greatest climbs in history.) And for the record, Messner is from Italy (a German-speaking part of Italy.) Perhaps we should just say "What is it with people who speak German and Nanga Parbat?"
  18. "Do the world a favor, flip off an H2 today!"
  19. cracked, you don't seem to get it. This website would be a better place without you here. People here don't laugh with you, they laugh at you.
  20. Anyone up for Nanga Parbat in 2005? At the very least, we could run into Reinhold...
  21. yeah, but Iain = DFA
  22. Oh ya..... squiggly wins!!
  23. nah, it's a sharpie in a box (All Abs)
  24. And the Minxtor come in the NIIIIGHT!!!
