If I made any real dough, I'd save most of it so I could retire at 30 and climb the rest of my life.

I haven't seen one fail myself, but I understand they found a broken carabiner at the bottom of the climb after Goran Kropp fell and died. It also depends on what you're using the ovals for. A fall on lead will obviously produce a larger force than a fall on TR or a fixed line, and a much larger force than any normal static loading. 18 KN is still a LOT of force. Don't forget to look at everything else in your system as well, the carabiner may not be the limiting factor.

If you don't, you're doing something wrong...

I was gonna say something about not voting for the shrub, but I just can't top Erik's post!

I've got 202K on my Honda Accord right now

I second that. I drove a 2002 Ranger down quite a few washboard roads, and the tail wandered all over the place. I was afraid to drive that thing. My friends Forester on the other hand, has handled the same roads at higher speeds, with more control. Not only that, my teeth didn't feel like they were going to get rattled out! The ranger wasn't mine, I just had to drive it 'cause my ex-gf didn't want to. I'd never buy a piece of crap like that. The clutch master cylinder had to be replaced after 20,000 miles. Nice reliability there. My friends Forester has over 100K on it, and he's never had any problems.

What about Old Market Pub on the westside? I don't think they have TG or HotD, but they have a decent selection of their own beers (including a jalapeno beer and a green apple beer), and the bar shuffleboard is a bonus.

Portland has more brewpubs than any other city in the US. What else is there to say?

Actually, that's nice to know for us other tall folks. I've been dealing with medium jackets (arms too short), and large pants (waist too big). I have a few pieces of Medium Tall that fit great, but I rarely find that size. Although cutting off ones arms as per trasks suggestion would help avoid bad circulation to fingers...

Masshole: it's a Boston driver...

I think mulletboy is getting on everyones nerves. trask is not a role model.

The world would be a much better place if every kid had one of these

That's kinda funny, because God is also sheltering each and every Iraqi in his loving and merciful hands too (at least according to Iraqis.) I love how we have to take "under God" out of the Pledge of Allegiance, yet according to the commerce secretary: "Bush really believes he was called by God to lead the nation at this time". Why are we bringing God into this?!

I've only tried them on the store, but the Marmot Precip jacket tends to fit pretty large. Have you tried those, or any other Marmot jackets?

Dante: "Well?" Randall: "Well what?" Dante: "Did he make it?" Randall: "His balls were resting comfortably on his lips."

The war in Iraq isn't getting the ratings anymore, so the media had to come up with something else... this sounded like a good epidemic to jump on.

Um, it's called making a joke, MissChestbeaterScreenName. oops, I was reading it "Melissas Endevour 9"

The North Cascades aren't too far away, central Oregon is closer, and the weather is better than Seattle. Portland's a great central location, and it doesn't have that "big city" feel. (not to mention the traffic!) Portland also has more pubs... more than any other city in the country!

I know these volcanoes 'are quite stupid'!

Subaru seems to be the *only* major car company that doesn't have an Obnoxiously Large Vehicle out there. With the Pilot, even Honda fell prey to Americas greed. Also, Audi, VW, and Volvo are all coming out with their own SUKs. I really hope this is a trend like chrome trim, which will go away when people finally get their heads out of their asses and realize how stupid they really are driving to the mall and commuting in a SUK.
