  1. WWES, What would ed say? Good time to re-read some Abbey and also check out this underrated and semi obscure gem. VERY poignant read IMHO, one of the first books ( its a loose collection of quotes, prose and images of the authors outdoor adventures in the early 1960's) that shaped my mind and made me really get all weepy about the wilds we love. Strange indeed

  3. Left un attended the body can create alot of nifty odors outside of feces and urine, but those two can contribute significantly to odor creation. I have a homeless man that hangs out around my Starbucks, he is coherent and carries on semi normal conversation but refuses to use tradition waste disposal methods. He merely shits and pees as he walks down the street or sits in benches. He is an AMAZING odor producer and the back of his pants are black. Supposedly a few years back he was at the shelter just up the street and a gang of other homeless fellows grabbed him, stripped him and tossed him into the the waterway near here. Needless to say after I had to clean out ground in poop from our outside chairs he has been banned from the store.
  4. Being obese, esp THAT obese dosent usually mean overeating, obviously some health related issues are involved, diabetes...etc. And it does sound like others were involved so I am thinking she must have been getting some form of care, albeit on a very basic level.
  5. Beyond comment indeed.

  9. OW, this is the best online resource for wanker testing and certification...and it is work safe!! . Wanker Test TIP: It takes a steady mouse hand!! Clean your ball first if you're not using an optical mouse.
  10. I typically avoid "high maintenence" crags, typically the ones that attract the insolent "masses" such as yourself. I always hated the Gallery for that very reason. On a realistic note, yeah it makes perfect sense in a busy and popular area to be as courteous as possible in cleaning up after yourself. I think the issue goes beyond routes but is indicative of everyones social responsibility regarding a shared resource. ...
  11. ...too much work, if your clipping bolts, you deserve to have to suffer through "others" old chalk. Really thats the only sporting option aside from "pre-chalking grades". 5.13c PC4. Scrubbing actual routes seems silly and superflous. Boulder problems I can definitely see, but routes? Cmon, just be an , <insert gender> and use less chalk. 13. "...the pungent aroma of urine wafted about the chalk and dried urine stained rock in front of me. I was determined to make upward progress, so I gritted my teeth and scouted about for some rugosities. Upon finding suitable purchase, I began to move quickly upward through the stench..."

    Got Gif?

Download it to your Windows directory...tile it as your desktop background! Have mental lube of your choice and sit back and watch...kind of like the ant races on Tee Vee at 3 in the morning in the old days.
  17. Was up there a week ago, spur road went in about 1/4 mile to downed tree. Up until that point it was clear of debris and paint eating brush. Will be hot and slick i'm thinking. If you go have fun!

    burning CDs

Ditto OW, I have a 100% success rate with both cds and DvDs with Nero 6 as my prog and a TDK cd burner and a Pioneer DVD burner. No real tricks and even the cheapest cds will be fine. I do agree with Snoboy on burning at less than max speed. I usually burn around 10x and find that is plenty fast but usually half the max speed of your burner would be cool if thats a higher number. Also if you have low RAM (less than 512)and try to burn while running other programs or often just surfing, will jack the burn process.
