quote: Originally posted by Biff: So in order for an admittedly inexperienced woman to be assured that she'll be safe climbing with y'all, she should first meet you in a bar. That's not logical. I've climbed with several folks that I've met on this site, and yet never met them for drinks, first. I think Sparky has a good point.Makes more sense to meet her @ Barneys' Rubble than at the Swiss. Well Biff first off, I haven't seen your post volunteering to take this inexperienced person out, and secondly you are missing the point about her showing up to Pub Club. It's not so she'll feel better, rather so a potential partner will have an idea of what he/she will be getting into before giving up a treasured day off to ropegun and or instruct.

Yeah, that's getting off on the wrong foot for sure.

Wha!?

You're talkin', I'm listenin'. No ski areas though...

OK, I see you've changed you're original post. We'll need confirmation from 2 cc.com regulars to verify that indeed... ....oh, nevermind. The Pub Clubs are Tuesday nights and usually advertised in the "Climber's Board". Apparantly tomorrow's is in Tacoma. [ 03-04-2002: Message edited by: vegetablebelay ]

So I assumed that the s of ers may stand for Shultz and that it could be the response of a close paternal relative of Jim's. So I felt that it was a rather valid comment coming from such a source. That's all well and good, but what was the point of him coming on here to badmouth somebody's language. People talk like that - maybe not out on the farm, but c'mon.

If the weather is good there will be more people. If the weather is bad there will be less people.

Biff likes the site so much, he's posting in the middle of the day on a beautiful Saturday!

Hey, I finally get to contribute to this thread!

quote: Originally posted by Sparky: So, are all the males on this site pathetically lonely for female companionship, or are they all just inept? You gotta wonder, with all of the weak responses to this gals request for a climbing partner. Seems hard to draw the conclusion people are pathetically lonely when they aren't falling over themselves to take this gal out, right? Inept is another issue though...

Fine by me!

I just saw a buddy of mine the other night who over a few beers confessed that he had recently gone into a restroom of a local restaurant and was reading an article in the newspaper tacked above the urinal while he was taking a whizz. He got thru the entire article and soon realized he had never hit the urinal at all and was standing in a HUGE puddle The worst thing was, he was completely SOBER!!!
