I did it this way a couple years back as a loop trip and went out via the lakes with a second car parked at the trailhead. Great trip.

I can think of a number of one day trips off of I-90, but not alot of true overnighters. Snoqualmie Mountain or Red Mountain might be challenging enough but just one day trips. There are also lots of peaks out of Easton and Salmon La Sac.

I used a VE-25......and liked it!
