or leave the little girl unattended by the pool and let her drown. That's not the least of it. When you buy pot you're supporting terrorism. I didn't even know El Quaeda were ganja farmers until I saw that ad. well what are ya? stupid? how else do you think they raise the money for the bombs.

Do you feel the same way about the Holocaust? no, but i do feel the same way about you You want to beat me to death? This, surely, is cause enough for BANISHMENT! nope, i just feel you're a waste of time and thus i am done participating in your meager attempt to prove a point.

lets add banning to the list of topics that have been beaten to death and quit wasting time with it. it is an arbitrary decision. yeah sometimes i'd like to know why but since jon and tim haven't set any standards for it it's a waste of time to argue about it.

i've met erik ...and trask

erik- i really have no more time to go back and forth on this with you today so i'll finish up w/the following. the links i had were the house resolution links not the final draft which i do believe includes the provisions for roads. that is why i noted that it was the HR not the signed draft. i haven't read the full text of the final bill, only summaries, so i don't have links for it. i live in a neighborhood that was cleared before i was even a twinkle in my parents eye. i did not clear the lot nor do i think that they're suddenly going to replant trees on my hill b/c i move out. i don't particularly see the hypocrisy. in fact, i'm all for wise management of forests i just don't think this bill provides for that. i don't see the use of the word hypocrite as being any more civil than the use of the word wanker. if you're feelings are truly hurt, then i'd remove it. h/e i think it's just a control thing w/you so i'm not going to bother. i'm sure a moderator can handle the removal if i have been out of line.

http://walden.house.gov/issues/healthyforests/hr1904.pdf http://agriculture.house.gov/h.r.1904sec-by-sec.pdf here's a couple of links to text from the act. note: i am not certain that this is the final text. it's the test from the house resolution. erik-i thought calling you a wanker was a statement of fact. and i do believe you threw out the term hypocrite in reference to me so you've got no ground to stand on when it comes to name calling.

the above is not a childish taunt. it is a suggestion.
-
erik i was going to post a response to you in this forum but that would make it spray. in order to keep this relevant, i will simply suggest that you take the time to read the details of this act before making up your mind on the subject have a nice day.

the exaqct trash i am talking about...........dont you live in some neighbor hood where they cut down the trees?? hypocrit! of course there will be additional cuttings. some one has to make a profit they are not going to undo the sierra clubs nightmare over night or for free. what we need to do is start a class action suit against the sierra club for reasource damage and errors & omissions for their bad science. erik you are such a wanker. of course i live in a neighborhood where they cut down trees. most people do. would i support further development of the area. not really but it's a community already. or at least not w/o some serious planning. this bill allows for building roads into previously undisturbed areas. it encourages the logging companies to cut healthy trees. are really does nothing to encourage the reduction of fuels. i'm not opposed to thinning or rethinking forest management. however, i think the "science" involved in the design of this bill is pretty much nonexistent.
-
well said jason. glad somebody else has also learned the full extent of this bill. it definitley goes beyond "thinning" which might not be a bad thing. it allows significant clearing. might as well put up a new neighborhood in the amounts that they'll be allowed to clear.
-
come on iaxxx. how can you not like this idea. don't you know that if there's fewer trees in the forest then those houses in so. cal. won't burn.
-
yes...it'll be nice. who'd want all those annoying trees in the forrest. good thing bush signed that into law

mmmmmmmmmm..........gooooooooooooooooooood

The answers you seek: Revlon powder base and a hint of Max Factor rouge. Paul Masson super hold extra. Mary Kay Really Red is an exact match with the Berry colored sheath on Maxim ropes. Black harness will make your ass look fatter if wearing lighter clothing. Best would be black harness on black pants, or medium tone over black pants. Another option is to coordinate the shoes/nails/rope by choosing the "Evergreen" Chaco straps for the approach, Anasazi Mesas for the climb, "forest green" polish by Covergirl, and the "pine" sheath of Beal ropes. Ta-ta honey, I'm off to the Pottery Barn for some FABULOUS new candlesticks. thanks! could you pick me up some of those really nifty napkins while you're there?

nothing here stopping someone from posting in their chosen "tone" some of us like boys being boys but it would be good to have a few girls being girls too. You mean discussing post thanksgiving shoe shopping? yes and makeup and which hairspray works best for climbing and corridinating my nail polish w/my rope and hair and what color harness makes my ass look fatter and doe my draws match my p'rana top

probably another female. it would be good if there were more posting here i don't think that the girls need to play by the boys rules here. i think that everyone who posts contributes to the overall atmosphere of the site, male or female. i think the site will continue to be a bit raucous regardless of the gender of the posters. if a lurker can't handle it they're better off finding another board. or they can suck it up, post and contribute to a change in the demeanor of the board.

well the alpental conditiosn that i care about are an inch of new today. they'll open after the next storm despite the broken bridge.
-
damn it! i didn't even get a chance to send mine happy hunting
-
i'd also like to add the following additions a) no parking signs on the SIDE of the road don't mean that it's ok to park in the MIDDLE of alpental road. b) if you leave your car parked on the side of the road the snowplow will cover it. stop bitchin and start diggin d) know where you're going, following my tracks is only going to get you lost. and i don't care that you're lost.
-
certainly, i'll post a picture of the bridge. but if you ever refer to me as minxie again, there's going to be some serious penalty slack next time i belay you.

OMFD! THIS IS SO ABSURDLY STUPID ON SO MANY LEVELS! the bolt debate has invaded the ice forum (not that there's a mixed forum) now you wankers are arguing about the environmental impact. dose of reality kids: bolts have an impact...it's small but is evidence that people were there. get over it! yes the alpental valley is continually abused resulting from all the people who enjoy it in a variety of ways. but get real...we're here, living on the planet, so no matter where we go and what we do we will have an impact! we have to go someplace. instead of fruitless arguing about the impact of people in the alpental valley, lets work towards preserving areas that are far more pristine. instead of insulting people who use the area for non climbing activities (ie. snowshoers) why not spend time educating and encouraging these folks to be aware and lessen their impact? these debates just boggle my mind. they are sooooo pointless. bolting wasn't the original topic now we've moved past bolting to the impact of the ski resort. UUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH people exist, thus have an impact. just b/c most of us would rather not see people when we're climbing doesn't mean they shouldn't enjoy the area also. if you want pristine wilderness you're just going to have to work a little harder.
