I've got a job opportunity in Spokane. I'm wondering if a four hour drive to climb would make a big difference compared to a two hour drive. Certainly the drive to ice climbing spots would be less, so that would be a plus.

I forgot to mention, to make sure that the rest of your body is warm too. You'd be surprised at how many people forget to wear a hat. If you are warm, you body will look for a way to get rid of the heat. It will dilate the blood vessels in your hands and feet. You can, in effect, force the heat into your feet.

You two would get a much better reception if you kept your firearms CONCEALED as you approach.

Retired climbing ropes are great for setting up top rope anchors when there are trees and boulders set well back from the lip. There was a recent post about Spokane area climbing. That rap route is a rope eater, especially for double ropes. I swore I'd only do single rope rappels after the last time.

Also, you might try thinner socks. It is counter-intuitive, but if the socks are too thick they can constrict blood flow, otherwise get the next size larger boot.

Spray is defined by what it is NOT. That is, it is anything that is off topic.
