It really does. I was looking at a plaque that had the names of every archbishop (?) that resided in that church, and it goes back to the 700's. Pretty wild.

So I went to Trier this last weekend, ended up wandering into this ancient church that had the robe of Christ on display. There were two distinct halves to the structure, one being constructed in medievel times and the other built when the romans occupied the city some 2000 years ago. It was really quite impressive.

So I was a little disappointed by Oktoberfest. It was cool and all, but there were so many people that just getting a beer took an hour or more. And they wouldn't serve you until you had a table. I got the t-shirt, been there, done that, not going back.
