I'd climb with you at the drop of the hat Brian, and I'd drop the hat! But Damn, I got an invite and local plans for Sat already! Whitney sounds cooler than here though! Hope I see a Trip report ! Yes, I agree, but not "soon"....today :-)

People who buy it just to have it, but do not use it are posuers. People who have retired their old Eiger Ovals and misc non-matched crap and ......say...bought an entire rack (on sale) of matched Red Wild Country Heliums, those types of gear whores rule. As long as they are using their stuff. Best damn biners there are. Psssst, wanna see my rack of red biners?

Wording changed due to Mfg request on RC.com. Thought it was valid and we should all consider it. -

Pink......I counted 4 (of the lot) that was (in my mind) unnecessary. On a 23 pitch climb…..to answer your question……NO. Matter of fact (IMO), all that it needs is an anchor (in the spot in question) and about 2 to 3 lead bolts on the pitches with no bolts. The only thing you could complain about after that would be some loose rock……once these extra bolts and anchor goes in…..it would be the ultra classic it was meant to be. Kevin, is there any chance you were off route? Baring that, put them in. To many have made the same comment, it was a massive project the first dudes were on, we can help out and finish up the last little detail for them with a hand drill and prevent a needless death next time it rains. -
It's been 2 hours, no responses yet, don't make me start crying.... or soloing.... Or soloing and crying....hmmmm. Maybe thats OK, thats what I'll do. All those solo devices just going to waste in my basement too. I will be down for an afterwork pump and if I see any of you folks up there I'm begging a belay...otherwise, I'm good by myself. later dudes and dudettes

Hooooo, what a quick rispote backhanded bitchslap from the bone. Rain, so you are saying I can add bolts anywhere I want and if you don't like they maybe you will remove them and if I want them back I put them back and if you don't want them you will remove them and if I choose to put em back I do and thats fine cause you will remove them and I will put them back and you will remove them and if I want them back I put them back and if you don't want them you will remove them and if I choose to put em back I do and thats fine cause you will remove them and I will put them back and you will remove them and if I want them back I put them back and if you don't want them you will remove them and if I choose to put em back I do and thats fine cause you will remove them and I will put them back and you will remove them and ..... Seems like a poor way to communicate. But excuse my poor manners, this was a TR, not an arguement about bolts. -
Damndest thing. I didn't have any draws few years back, but twice REI has sold the whole shebang for almost the price of a single biner. Last month I added to my stash: they were selling Wild Country Helium draws for $9.93. I bought 10. Look around and about the best price for a single Helium Carabiner is $8 and some change. They sold out quick. Wish I'd bought 20.

Got this email from Climbaxe and thought it was worth posting here. "Hello Climb Max Friends and Family, Following the success of our last Climb Max clinic on Sport Climbing, and by popular demand, we would like to announce our next free clinic: Lead Belay. The clinic will be held here at the shop on Thursday, July 19th, at 6pm. After the clinic we will be open late and have a special 15% discount for participants on gear pertaining to the clinic. This clinic will be great for those looking to learn or practice the nuances of lead belaying, including correct use of both friction and "locking assisted belay devices" , correct stance, rope angle, elongation, as well as things to be aware of while anticipating a lead fall (from the belay end). Participants should already be comfortable with top-rope belay technique, and should bring with them their belay piece of choice. Participants are also encouraged to bring along their own harnesses and any other equipment they might use, but we will also have back-up equipment just in case. Since there was such a great turnout last time, please RSVP to the email if you plan on attending so we can be prepared to accommodate everyone who comes. Please feel free to contact us with any questions. Thanks to all of you who showed up last time, and we look forward to seeing more of you this coming week! Cheers, -Max : ) Climb Max Mountaineering 928 NE 28th Ave. Portland, OR 97232 503.797.1991 info@climbmaxmountaineering.com" Edited to change word "auto-locking belay devices" to "locking assisted belay devices" ________________________________________

Why? Do you want to tell em off? Or shake his hand? Good call 512. I was thinking this too, ask permission to toss in at least a single bolt, maybe 2, in the blank section so that a party descending in the rain doesn't die. PM sent -
OK, I need a solid belayer tonight. Someone needs to step up to the plate here...... Ujahn just called with some bullshit story about his anniversary and he had to cancel. So, I was being polite before and playing nice by inviting others to get a good belay, but as you can see the tide has shifted..... Don't make me start yelling here.....whos in?

Pull up induced decreased bicep range of motion?
billcoe replied to John Frieh's topic in Fitness and Nutrition Forum
Not climb the ice John. The stuff in the freezer, put the ice on the muscle or I'll finally be outclimbing you soon if you can't bend your arms. This must be a crossfit thing. Get well, take care of yourself. -
Good luck to ya Mike. Maybe folks can start calling you direct and set up an offsite appoint? BTW, to the rest of you, support this dude. He won't need it later, but needs it now.

Muff interpretation, I think Muff is sayin "YO DON'T BE JANKIN DA PARENTS STYLE" Ace. (spoken stiffly)
-
I think you have it narrowed fairly well. Spanish Water dog, perhaps a Labradoodle, but make sure you check the parents behaviroal charcteristics. Good luck

Ohhh dudes, ohhh dudes: it was soooo good...sooooo good. All you pussies go hang out next to an air conditioner (with an exception or 2)? They said it was over 100 degrees, but it was sooooo good out there.

Yeah Avitrip, bring it! Where do you get one?

[TR] Mt. Jefferson - Jefferson Park Glacier 6/27/2007
billcoe replied to Mountain_Shots's topic in Oregon Cascades
Best route on Jeff. (dunno about this time of year though). It looks like that rope has some pro there?! Or is it just wandering naturally? I always figured that if one dude fell on the ridge, the other would have to jump off the other side, and it's bigtime exposure there b4 it eases as you can see further up. -
Good on ya David for yer honesty and workin for a brother who normally would have gotten fairly and squarely bootied, lets climb tonight afterwork.

You bet John, Thursday then.
