1. Joe Biden Didn't see his box. BTW, Juliani may be misspelled unless he changed the spelling recently. G @2nd choice probably is Bloomberg, then John McCain, But I'll admit that Hillary would do a better job than Bush on her worst day. I suspect that Obama as a President would be a horror show worst than what we have now. ________________________________________________ Obama: "THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WANT CHANGE"! "What kind of change?" Uhhh "REAL CHANGE!"

RAT

Is Porter talkin about Rat the CC.com poster, or the supergroup called Rat, who did the wonderful and powerfully moving song "Out of the cellar"? I'm confused. Is this how it feels to be Kevbone?

Social Security

this would concern me more if i actually made enough a year to sock 2k away OK: taking a longer and wider view - please consider this an obligation that the gov't, and folks like Bob Dole, are going to let your children deal with and pay for. By not encouraging those who CAN do so, in fact penalizing them if they overstuff their retirement account, they will will invariable be more of a burden on our society late in life. Can't tell you how much, maybe we can ask our kids in a few years.
4. "Re: Party's over folks" You're kidding...right.....THE KEG IS ABOUT TO GET TAPPED....

Social Security

Then you would be surprised to learn that Bob Dole had 4 pensions, all with huge $, while simultaneously voting to *fucK you in the ass by not expanding Iras - leaving the limits at $2000 a year.
8. I've given him enough valuable beta. Shit, my post should reap a $2,000 guiding fee. I'm not going to spoon feed him on the rope issue. He's got to learn self reliance if he's going to have a chance of making Rainier. tvash...its a fucking troll...this chaps person is not a climber. HA HA HA! Nice catch Kev. Hey, time for a another climbing movie drinkathon at Jim's eh? I have one I got and haven't watched, I think it's Masters of Stone 1 and 2. Oh, Decristo: welcome. Not to late to post the link over there is it? I'm sure Dwayner would find it interesting.
9. Too cold. And wet. Hope that answers some of the questions.
10. Why Feb.? Why not that weather window in Jan or March? Letsroll, solid classic!
11. Uhhh, OK.... [font:Times New Roman]not
12. ==cool=
13. Well, give it a month Peter or 2 as it's wet as hell out there and no ice to speak up locally, I'm sure if you give it some time, we'll all be exploring the new cliffs we sat and found on our topo searches all winter. I'm looking into GPS...anyone like the new Delorme ? No sense getting too lost, traditionally, I go wandering around in the wood sans map and compass and it works, but is inefficient as hell.
14. Link I saw the "I just died" thread just get moved to spray. My question is, did I just send my "found new Topo web site" up on the climbing thread to hell and it's gonna be moved to here given my attack on Raindawg? Should I take that post with all the pictures and teasing off and put it here by itself? In my defense, I was just being honest.
15. "Show of hands now, and please try and be honest this time, who just found a cliff to explore as soon as the snow melts? " [font:Arial Black]"ooOOOO ooOOO ooOOO pick me pick me PICK ME! I found 3 already! " "Hello, over here at the Vatican, pick me" "Sorry, too dogmatic. Can't pick a Pope thats one of the rules....anyone else?" ....."anyone?"..... "Yes, how about you Billy." [font:Arial Black]" I found 3 already! " "That's nice.....Now, can anyone guess who will NOT be invited out to play because they do not play well with others? That's NOT be invited out? " [font:Arial Black]"ooOOOO ooOOO ooOOO pick me pick me PICK ME I know that one it's that bitch Raindawg! " "Thats right, that nasty Raindawg. Good answer Billy, but please wait until you are called on next time! And please do not say Bitch even if they are. If we want someone bitching, pissing and moaning all the time we can just stay home with our loved ones, can't we? Very good answer " "Now do your homework tonight and tomorrows lesson is titled "Bolting: skillfully, rapidly and effectively....and as a treat, we will be doing a hands on with the classes new drill, which we will call the lil Dawg. "
16. Not just that Sobo, but if you switch to the topo version, you'll see he's a big MF, so be careful.

19. And no helmet....GASP!
20. Glad to hear it Doug, it may be one of the last great deal as the newer Euro ropes come in at a higher cost. Hope you got the 20% off coupon as well. BTW - careful if you tie them together for rappin'! Ones a 60 and ones a 70! and I'm glad you won't have to borrow mine too!
21. My mother was born and raised on a farm near the Black Canyon of the Gunisson (outside of Hotchkiss, Colo). As a teenager their farm was the first in the valley to get electricity. A single bulb in their living room. They generally lived better than city folks at the time however, as they had plentiful food. Over 2/3 of the US population lived on such farms, no running water, no electricity, no cars (OK, grandpa finally did get one). I think anyone who glorifies that time (and it was worse than that as you go even back further in time) needs to only reject indoor plumbing, pump their own water, fire up a coal or wood stove daily, and use an outhouse for a week in the winter in sub-freezing temperatures to come to an obvious and timely reassessment. I'm not discussing the obvious wealth inequities which the current administrations tax policies are excaberating. I'm just sayin'....life is pretty damn sweet.
22. Nice point Jayb. It is a good time to be alive, we live better than the kings of old.
23. better! Great pics too!

Cat Fight

I give Federline another 15 min of fame.
25. With 10' of new powder due for Donner Summit this week, with all due respect, it would be more suited to eating your parters than belaying them in March. Red Rocks, Smith and Joshua Tree would top my list due to the huge variety of climbing and potential for great weather. BUT, I once drove to RR in March and it rained every day. Turns out - there was no rain at Smith and perfect weather that whole time. So if it was me, I'd pick the location based on weather the day before or so. Sounds like you folks will have a great trip, btw, you might consider doing some ground school work with them, ie, practicing belaying and anchoring on the ground before you head down. Some may think its silly to have a dude standing on the ground belaying you as you walk towards them, but I am not one of them.
