  1. Some of the Pinzy's are kinda cute, that one is a little butchered to put the roll bars on... Better pictures here
  2. Funny you should ask... I've been thinking of trading the Mog in for a Pinz. Not quite the clearance, but better on gas, better highway driver, and still in production of the same model, so parts easier to obtain. Somewhat less common though, so prices seem to run a bit higher than the Mog.
  3. WFTV has a better pic...
  4. Will, I tend to examine my investments carefully, taking into consideration the very sorts of things that you mention. As small as my holdings might be, I want them to be supporting things that I believe in. We (libs and dems ) may not be perfect, but it's worth trying to make a difference.

Uh... the law that defines what a co-op is in Canada...
  9. Close TLG, but really what makes a "tele setup," is the skier. That said, the BD boards are sweet, I've got the Mira, and it sounds like next years offerings are going to be even better.
  10. The colorado sucks on muddy hikes down though.
  11. OK, here it is: There's Chaco's with or without toe loops, Z-2, and Z-1, respectively... Then you get to choose your sole, Colorado sole, best for wet rock (rivers), the Terreno sole, basically a Vibram lug sole, and the 5.10 Aqua Stealth dot-tread. Continue your discussion...
  12. BD I agree. I have a pair of Mira skis that I love. The edge broke, through, as far as I can tell, no fault of my own. No obvious damgae on the base nearby, or nicks in the edge, just a crack that I noticed one day. Well, eventually the edge started to pull out, and the tech at the local shop said I should ask BD about it. They suggested I send it in, and as a resuly, there is a new pair of skis on it's way from SLC as I wrtie this I have to wonder about the binding story that you got though... That sounds like it might be the story of the O2, but what about the SkyHoy, and how about the Pitbull before that???
  13. You all suxor so bad.
  14. I climb, I have fun, therefore I All the whiney beyotches can eat it I don't really distinguish amongst types of climbing. I've tried them all, and have had fun, even if I am not as good at some braches as others. That's not to say that I am spectacular at any type of climbing. I have sent hard (for me) boulder problems. I have popped a piece aiding. I have overnighted high on an alpine route. I have led multipitch trad. I have played the scratchy game. I have used an ice axe to stop an unplanned slide. I have spent sunny days with Prana babes lolling at the base of a crag. I have hiked three days to climb a third class peak. I have TR'ed a climb to death, and I've soloed. I have made FA's, trad and sporto. I have scrambled beautiful high alpine ridges. I have thrown a tantrum on a sport route. I have felt the relief of a good ice screw when in the ground fall zone. I have climbed at Smiffy in August, and Squishy in January. To me it's all climbing, and I don't care how hard it was in the end. Looking at my list, there's still lots to do... Hmmm better get the guidebooks out.
  15. Icegirl, please, do not aspire to be Beck, it would be a great loss to us all...
  16. Uhmmm, Squamish ain't local, but I can do them if you're coming up. If the trigger bar is missing it might be a little bit more of a trick.
  17. I lived for 3 or 4 years in Vancouver, and never owned a car, or even had a lisence. Never felt too limited by this. Even Squamish trips were no big deal, as the hitchiking at Horshoe Bay was good in those days.
  18. Or worse yet, you don't even need to decipher them.
  19. Stright off the User list page: Uhh oh.
  20. Traffic can be hell, but the skytrain rocks. Unfortunately, neighbourhoods near the stations also tend to be higher crime areas.
  21. Sounds like the Mira is gone next year. It was a great ski, and I hope the new ones are even better. Interview with BD Ski Manager Seems like BD has it going on for skis, now they just need to figure out bindings.
  22. Anyone done anything with these guys? WY'EAST Nordic Kind of thinking of doing one of their summer tele camps, would like to hear some feedback.
  23. I used to love Mad Dog. I think I might have made a few posts back in the early 90's, does that count?

    No discounts.
  25. "They" specifically say that AT boots are not to be used in Downhill bindings for the reason that b-rock mentioned. scot'teryx - Why would the weight of the ski matter? I know lots of people who use "alpine skis" with AT bindings, and various combos like that.
