  1. Would be happy to break the road, and I could fit at least a dozen climbers in the back of the mog. Sadly I will not be in that area at that time. Maybe next winter Freshiez in RossVegas today!!!!
  2. Then check out the Lifelink website; they have a dynafit mountaineering boot now. You could have the lightest rig out there, especially if you put a intuition liner in it... Since it looks like the same shell as their ski boot, I bet you could put a buckle on it to improve the ski performance a little.
  3. Come on, some of you must have snow by now...
  4. bolt clipper: Uh Oh, here we go again...
  5. Check this one out, seems like it could be useful. Or at least fun. Smilie HQ I still haven't found good ol' though.
  6. And it must be disheartening as an owner to watch people walk out the door without buying because they wanted the Camalot, not a metolius or something... I've seen this as an employee. Then we got BD BTW I like their nut tool, but it isn't the best, Ushba is. I would say that BD isn't always the best choice, but it is mostly very good. At least after it has been out for few years.
  7. What's wrong, afraid you might learn something?? And it's not a list actually... I read it.
  8. 3 words "Gold Express Card"
  9. Sunvalley ID U$65/day. Eek! Like over a 100 canuck-bucks to ski?! But who pays full price??
  10. Buy 0 lift tickets, hike the Ho Ch Minh, and ski for a week if you want. Try and recycle a 7-11 ticket, sometimes they work more than once. Make sure you look like you skiied a run or two, and go to Customer Service and tell 'em yer ticket ripped off in the trees. It worked for a friend, although his ticket really did get ripped off. Really. Buy overpriced lunch at the top too reduce any feelings of guilt you may have. I've only heard of others doing these things, of course, so don't know if they really work.
  11. Yeah, maybe they could work on relaxing some of the rules at the "women's only" gyms! Is that a step backward or what.
  12. They (not sure which ones, Jia maybe...)also skiied some sick line on Serratus (N Face maybe??) a couple of winters ago that involved a mandatory air in the middle onto a small patch of snow. They had planned to rap it but couldn't find an anchor when they got there.
  13. Who said you have to pay to ski on Whistler?

    #uc* you

leads to leads to , and then , no?
  15. Hey those are almost all free, and they sound like fun! Can I add - pulling donuts in the day lots...
  16. I'm quite aware of that, thank you. It's just that I find most of the options boring or expensive. Maybe that's a reflection on me.
  17. Ok here's things I miss from the old board: - very neccesary. Active Topics - I know timmy is working on it. To the Top - can we get a "to the top" button on the bottom of pages? Quote - I liked the auto quoting thing where the quote and attribution would come up when you replied to a post. Although thwe new method seems to leave less clutter in general. Maybe undecided on this one. All in all I like the new board. My Home - great feature. The flashing PM indicator is great. Thanks Timmy and Jon for a great place to blow off some steam, and occasionaly learn something.
  18. Easy if there aint no skiing...
  19. I just think it's lame to report (read boast) about something that you didn't even manage to finish. Imean really, what is the story there. It's like getiing caught for having a toke in your pocket, and then the cops say, "We aren't going to bust you this time because the judge won't even do anything about it." I'm not for bombing there asses. I think that it is probably good that the ship was uncovered, and that more people know about what's going on.
  20. Or makes people laugh at you. Seriously, read between the lines. That article is such a load of horse poop propoganda. Think for yourselves, that's what your fighting for isn't it? The right to think? OK I'm going to duck and cover now... [just minor grammar edits]
  21. Umm maybe... But I actually was trolling for an well thought out reply. Everyone was all rah rah, good job etc, and when I went to read the article I was thinking, "Wow, that's pathetic." Any way, what's wrong with trying to start shit?
  22. Not neccesarily in opposition, but I sure like to know it's good for an outward pull. A nice cam, or a perfect nut is all I ask.
  23. Greg W.: And there is the crux of this arguement. Some believe as you do in the idea of you only get something if yu are able to get it for yurself, and others believe in helping the neighbour. It seems that both sides are so deeply entrenched in their beliefs that there will never be a resolution. Really what I value is that there can be both sides, and that we can both get on with our own lives in the way we want to. When government starts to impinge on that, well . I like universal health care. It is nice to know that if for some reason I lose my job and hurt myself out on some climbing trip, that I am not going to go broke paying for it. I make the choice that the taxws are worth it. I don't like taxes in general, althoughg I certainly enjoy the benefits from them. There are many cases where it has been shown that the government can do a more effecient job of administering services. The water boards in the UK are a good example. Wasn't this thread about something else entirely at the beginning? Why hasn't anyone responded to:
  24. I seem to remeber it was almost that much in the US. Well maybe $3...
