Apocryphal, but I've definitely heard of ti tea kettles 'n' stuff. Winter = big pot. Summer = no pot? That's definetly the lightest option.

Not me, but I can still chime in on it, no? I've heard it is getting better and better, I met a guy who had both eyes done, and was skiing again in a couple of days. I think Vancouver, BC is one of the best places to get it done... Squish pub club? Good Luck!

Hmmm.. Maybe they spent so much on a slow machine that they are embarressed to complain about it!

Clean it well first. CLEAN IT WELL FIRST!!! Some kind of solvent is good, and a wirebrush.

Douglas fir = Pseudotsuga menziesii Tsuga is a hemlock. Psuedotsuga is a "false" hemlock... menziesii refers to the guy who named it: Douglas Menzies.

I topped a tree once. Not near as big as that sucka, but it was a rush. No spurs or chainsaw either... I'll dig up the pics one day this summer maybe if I remember (ie don't hold your breath!)

K- Very cool! Why did you take the limbs off the house side? To lighten it is my guess, make it easier to rope it over the way you wanted it to go? Brown Cubical butt rot pictures...

I heard the end of Guy's sister on the radio this morning. It was a really good interview I thought. Not sensational at all, and she was good at putting into words her feelings. I am actually quite suprised at how much attention this has gotten.

Guy's there too now. Unfortunately not an action photo, but best I could find right now... Guy Edwards John Millar

Like fern says, we can hook you up with lots of partners in the 'loops. Plenty of people I know there go often to Marble Canyon. And just think... you will be 4 hours closer to Canmore too!

You can have my beers too. I have a course this w/e, and besides it's a long drive from here. Have fun gapers.

I have a Sony Clie PEG T415. I love it. Get the smallest one you can afford. Otherwise you will hate carrying it around. The ability to synch to my computer, then cut and paste notes that I made during the day into emails and such is probably the #1 benefit to me. Check this out. The Pocket PC platform seems better if you want to watch movies, play tunes etc... However if you want it just as an organizer, then the Palm platform has some advantages. Longer battery life, more freeware(?), and lower prices. Be aware that youy can also get your GPS to talk to the PDA if you are a

Obviously the >Save as< option is the quickest, but irfanview will convert almost any file format to any other. Not to mention all kinds of other handy features. And yes, it will play MP3's too.

Never said bounce did I??? I'm wondering if I mis-spoke - it's been a while since I was out on aiders. Still, I'm sure that I like my adjustable fifi out to full reach length.

Yeah, maybe I had it backwards... You can do as Lambone suggests, then flip the whole pile onto your partners tie in, if you are leading all the pitches, or in blocks. This works pretty good. I usually pile on the tie in. Sometimes I stack on my foot, although this might not be good advice for ice climbers . If you have a ledge to stand on, I flake the rope down. If I am leading off again, I grab the whole pile and flip it. Works pretty good.
