There is still snow. Treeline = Snowline on South slopes. It goes a little lower on North Slopes. Cornices seem to be falling apart. Lots of big chunks seen in bounds. In bounds snow was compacting nicely. Didn't sample out of bounds. Excellent skiing today on all aspects.

Several influential cc'ers were seen in the same room this past weekend in the small, seaside resort of Squamish BC. Spotted were Thelawgoddess, Fence_Sitter, AlpineK, Dru, fern, Paco, and snoboy. Our correspondent is unable to tell us what was discussed due to much laughter and merriment emanating from the table. Rumours are that Paco and Fence ended up hooking up after dumping TLG and leaving her to fend for herself with snoboy on Saturday. The boys did Rock On, and then got lost looking for the Ultimate Everything. The Squamish Butress was quite good though, they say. Miss fern, though she claims not to be hardcore went and aid soloed the first pitch of U-Wall, "just for fun." TLG and snoboy went apron-eering and managed to pull off 9 excellent pitches without anyone in their way. Snoboy showed TLG that he trusted her by falling off of a 5.9 slab. AlpineK then showed up and 4 of them went bouldering. Or rather they pointed out problems, and K sent them. And then they went drinking. And eating, especially other peoples desserts. A little more , some JD, some pool. More JD. Today AlpineK and snoboy went to Whistler. Most excellent.

So the Waddington Guide will be out this w/e, along with the annotated climber's map of the are (1:25,000), and the 3rd ed of the Skaha guide. Last week we got the new Squamish bouldering guide, and as soon as the printers are finished with this run, they will be setting up for the Selkirks North edition, and a new Bugaboos Guide. Whew!

Looks like there is a movement for several cc'ers to end up at the Howe Sound Brew Pub in Squamish at the foot (south end) of Cleveland Ave tommorow night.
