I believe you can attach a PDF file to your post if you like.

That's OK, ignorance of the cc.com backstories shows up who the real newbies are around here.

This is a tour we did during the 2006 SkiIn:

This is the NW bowl of Frisco Mtn., at the head of Maple Creek: This is on the ridge SW above Lake Ann, looking at the E side of Corteo Peak:

Gilder, I would suggest that if you want to make a donation or something like that, it would be appropriate to consider the local SAR group, like woodchips suggested. This would benefit the climbing community, because they are there to save our butts if it's our turn, and it would be a token of appreciation of the work they've already done. If you choose to go that route, you may want to contact them and see what they would like, whether it's money, or an item of equiment. Most SAR groups have a long list of gear that they would like to get one day...

Note the subtle but essential difference between what I wrote, and what you thought I wrote... They all break eventually if you push it. Even tele gear. -
Noobies are more than welcome...even if you snowboard. hehe.

We may need to set a limit on teh h0tness, in case it melts all the snow! LOL

I don't know what went down between gilder and BillyGoat, but I snipped it all out after gilder edited... I think this thread has a good purpose, and I don't want it going the wrong way. Plus I haven't really done any heavy handed moderating lately. I need to stay nimble.

+1 - all forums should have this feature IMO.

BUMP for directions in the OP.

Date is set, snow is there, the highway is open... Make sure you book off the 23-26th for some corn harvesting and general cc.com style debauchery in the N. Cascades! We need some people to commit to a few items and tasks to make this run smoothly: BYO mugs! Firewood - more the better. We are guests on DaveP's friends land, and if we leave a little extra wood, that would be a good thing. Ice - For the lemonade Picking up a garbage can of snow at the pass on the way from Seattle is a good option. Chairs - There never seem to be enough... if you've got a couple extras, and some space, throw them in! Charcoal - There's a couple of old style grills there, and a bag of charcoal would be handy indeed... Breakfast goods - Usually we end up doing at least one big group breakfast, pancakes and the like. Bring what you like, and a little to share... Water - Bring your own. There is washing water available from the river or the pump, but you will want your own drinking water supply. There will be a portapotty on site. David Parker says: The driveway turn off is at N 48.54950 W 120.34101 on the N side of SR20.

I'm gonna lock this thread and start a new one with the date in the title and all that...

Memorial Day w/e would be our second choice. And it's close to somebody's birthday...

Peter: I think that being a newcomer to cc.com, you may not catch the full drift of what Choada_Boy is getting at. Threads that were started to talk about accidents such as your brothers have sometimes gone in directions that were less than useful or sensitive. In this case, there was not a lot of publicity, and your thread is in one of the lesser visited sections of the message board. I thought that this thread was exemplary in it's on topic and frank discussion. Condolences for your loss. I hope you and your family find some closure. can't argue w/ that - but then, where is a good place? this thread has a much better chance of avoiding the mt hood debacle-style degeneration though b/c it wasn't spawned by a monstrous wave of publicity

In the last year I have heard of a lot more people using Dynafits. I have also heard of a lot more breakage issues lately. I would be far more interested in % than absolute #s. Until Dynafit was still a fairly small part of the AT market, at least in BC. AT generally seems less breakage prone than tele though. -
The ski hill looks like it usually does in mid March, and the snow just keeps coming... what's a guy to do when he's unemployed, and his gf has some new 174 soft BROs that need to be tried out? Go Skiing? On Sunday I was up in the area, and this looked good: My partners weren't into it that day, but I went back a couple days later with snogirl, and we skiied the line looker's L of the large rock feature. My partners weren't into it that day, but I went back a couple days later with snogirl, and we skiied the line looker's L of the large rock feature. The snow wasn't geat, but the line was sweet. Then we went and scored some nice sunny April powder: Wednesday was greybird, but rumours of epic snow had Gaper G and I head out for some big chute hunting. We saw some nice lines, but the wind had it's way, and there was too much windslab around so we had to run away... Here's a zone that needs some attention, rarely (if ever) sees ski tracks. Our goal for the day was the chute that drops out of the obvious notch on the far ridge: Sadly this sweet little 1300' tree run was in our way, so we had to rip it up. This was not our goal for the day. In fact I didn't even know it existed. Since we bailed on our original goal, and discovered this one, the TO DO list has grown... Damn! The chutes were overloaded with windslab, the consolation prize wasn't half bad though: The weather is set to heat up tommorow, so snogirl and I decided to take her new BROs out and enjoy some of the last of the season's pow in one of my favourite spots. I took this one for the SkinTrack stoke thread, but she doesn't look too stoked. Nothing a little lunch break can't cure! Not to mention some powder! I've got a little bit of vid too, but I can't seem to make YouTube work.

Plus the 6mm is usually woven softer for use as prussics. Works way better. Clip the end that has the white tape in this picture:

Unsolicited Advice - Nalgene Bottle on Harness

Uptight or not - he does seem to have a point. -
^NOPE.^ You want Billygoat and his salmon to be there, trust me. Not only that, it's my party, and I want my GF to be able to join us.

Snogirl can't make it on the 10/11 w/e, but the 17/18 would be excellent for us. I might be dragging a larger than usual Canadian posse down this time...

Sherri - Nalgeneā¢ bottles are not all made of the same plastic. -
Hey Dave - Why don't you make the call on the date since it's you with the access to the property etc.
