Sorry I was there over Thanksgiving...but tell me the good spots in the north bay. You mean Marin county? Mt. Tam? I usually stick to the East Bay...the big hill behind my sister's house with awesome views of SF and GGBridge.
Behold the list of the 14 year old son...

Do you have to have a degree for that??? No but you have to take a safety class and it's surprisingly dangerous. Flaggers have been killed in the line of duty.
I think Stefan is right. There are extremists in most religions (except perhaps Buddhism) and they get the most attention. Having been to both Israel and Egypt I would have to say the muslims impressed me as being very friendly and quiet while the Israelis were more of the aggressive "in your face" personalities (and crazy drivers too!)

but my god i have never seen so many coffee drinking, cigarette smoking, fleece wearing pasty faced slugs in my life. My mother in law, who lives in Sunnyvale, said the same thing about Portland
BTW if you go to the ReBuilding Center web site they have a link to a place in South Seattle called Second Use
Perhaps you can score some cabinets there.

I have found really good and cheap stuff at Target. I recently bought an energizer LED headlamp there for $15 (just as good as the Petzl IMO). You can also get decent fleece and poly underwear there.
