  1. You don't really have to pull in any slack, just make sure you have a bunch of rope below you, or better yet use a self-locking device. It's much safer than just trying to hold on with your brake-hand. You've got me stoked to maybe go do this again this weekend.
  2. Okay, so here they are. These two vids were taken about 7 years ago or so. Bridge Swing 1 Bridge Swing 2 Two Tips for you: 1. Make sure your anchor cannot move from side to side. A friend nearly had his webbing sawed in half from this. 2. Suck it up and jump.
  3. Dude, am I "looking forward to it"? It's been out on the internet for nearly six months now. People have been making alternate endings and reproducing scenes with additional self-shot footage and editing. You need to get onto usenet more
  4. Once I get home, I'll try to dig up the video of my friends and I doing this same thing from the railroad bridge near KPSP and post it. That swing is pretty huge, leaving you well off of the water when you are done swinging. The fun part is rapping off the end of the ropes and taking the ~40 foot plunge into the Green River below. Anyone wanna give it a try? I have a friend who lives across the street so we can park without the RR seeing us
  5. Ah yes, the tuesday afternoon thunderstorm. I felt really bad for the family that parked their tent in the dirt. They didn't expect to be sleeping in a water bed.
  6. No worries Selkirk, dry tool'n is gonna be starting up again soon.
  7. Does it come with the baseball bat? Would make for an interesting pinata event for Ropeup
  8. We were up there at the same time as you guys. Best weather of the season I'm told by a rather reliable source. Way to get after it.
  9. I'll get you some free passes if you want. Most of my buddies say they are giving them to their friend
  10. Nice photos. I had to rub my eyes to make sure of what I was seeing.
  11. Here's a couple more shots from my point of view: Packing at Safeway in Leavenworth (why the hell did we bring all this crap when we weren't going to use any of it): Looking up the lower north ridge: Rad leading the money pitch on the lower north ridge: Rad somewhere on the north ridge looking for a place to extricate some weight: The most glorious sunrise I've seen in all my years in the outdoors: My birthday was last Wednesday, and this was my present to myself. I'm starting to think I have some sort of masochistic personality disorder.
  12. Did you ever find your sunglasses Matt??
  13. That's a really fun route, sounds like you guys had a great time. That's what it's all about.
  14. I love that aspect of Snowpatch. From camp it looks like a big lump, but then moving around it you can tell it's really a thin piece of granite with wide east and west faces. It couldn't be more than a few hundred feet thick at the bottom.
  15. Deez Nutz:
  16. Missing the pictures. Let's see them. Sounds like the weather wasn't too bad and Seirge was keeping the forecasts updated, finally.
  17. Bad thai food kept us from moving quickly enough. Rad's going to post a TR when the pain goes away. Usually its my partner that has the gastrointestinal issues. You guys seemed to be cruising right along initially, though. The only thing I'll say is that Kraus-McCarthey on Snowpatch Spire is not a grade IV. At least, not like the NR is.
  18. My new yearly destination for the next few years.
  19. Bad thai food kept us from moving quickly enough. Rad's going to post a TR when the pain goes away.
  20. Actions always speak louder than words. In this case, they might scream a little too.
  21. No, it's: "Some call me the gangsta of love" -S.M.

    Ahhhh!

I can't get out of work early to go climbing. Bastards. I'm starting to think they are the real terrorists.
  23. KK's best friends
  24. Is this the part where someone breaks in and says that Bushes dad killed JFK?
