If I'm at a club...the music I like best is whatever makes the girls get randy, baby.

My question is how anybody who is unemployed can be posting on here during the day at all. It's may now, it's beautiful out. go out and climb. Let the rest of us poor bastards with office jobs do the spraying.

I know many people who have been weathered off much smaller objectives than the ptarmigan traverse many more times. It's a long trip and getting a window big enough around here is not all that easy. I'm hoping to do this traverse early this summer on skis. It's an amazing area.

She Does have a comfortable pack. The fact remains that I can still carry more over longer distances.
-
I find it impossible to understand anybody who thinkslowered cadislack ghettoslades with 24" rims, tons of gaudy diamons and gold teeth are cool.
-
giant padded countoured hip belts and stuff suck. If you are carrying that much weight, and not going to alaska, you can't pack very well. Go for a nice lightweight pack and help her pare the load down. Or you can do what I do and basicaly just have her carry her sleeping bag and some food and a few things for a 10 or 15 lb load and carry the rest of it yourself for the "training." This way also has the bonus of getting you much farther in a day if you are a stronger hiker than her.

hehe...I just got back from driving to darrington. My god...45 in a 60 with 8 people behind you is *not* acceptable folks

Oh, and on an unrelated note, why don't the FUCING WORTHLESS PIGS actually enforce the "don't hold up 5 cars, you stupid fucking RV" law!??! grrr...

I do not treat them as toys. I'm an extremely attentive driver. I've taken driver safety classes, performance driving classes, lapping sessions and instructed on the track. Personally, I think stuff like this should be minimum requirement to get your license. The idiots they allow on the roads are a joke. I drive within the limits of the road, situtation, etc. I am in. Driving 90mph in a 70mph zone on a deserted interstate is far safer than driving 40mph in a 40mph zone in heavy traffic, rain, etc. But, again, my point is the cops will not do a damn thing about the guy weaving in and out of traffic in the 40mph zone in the rain. It's a pain in the ass for them and hard to get stick in court. Patrolling straightaways in wide open freeways is easy for them, and proves a great method of revenue generation.

Eric, you sound like my mother. You seem like a nice guy, but your industry sucks ass about as much as the tool you always complain about. Fuck the insurance companies. They buy radar guns for the cops so the cops can generate revenue, hand out tickets and then give the insurance companies justification to raise your rates in a non-competitive manner. The fact is, plain and simple, the cops run speed traps in places where it's *safe* to exceed the speed limit, *not* in places where it's unsafe. It's easier for them, they get more people, they make more money, etc. Think what you want, but it's bullshit.

Seriously, quit fucking asking questions and go buy one. It's a fucking harness, not a complex machine. It's webbing. If you plan on hanging in it for a long ass time, get some padding, if not, then who cares. Here is a bunch of sale harnesses at rei-outlet.com. Order one of these if you can't bum a ride to a climbing shop. http://www.rei.com/online/store/Search?stat=8265&langId=-1&storeId=8001&textQuery=harness&x=0&y=0

Erik, responsibility and not speeding have nothing to do with each other. The speed limits are set up for revenue generation, as are the speed limits. Ever noticed they don't run speed traps in the rain/snow, but always on lovely clear days when you can safely travel 80mph on a wide open interstate? Yeah, well, fuck them. It doesn't have a damn bit to do with safety.

I'd sure as shit say so. Mail it in and say "thanks for the warning, I'm sorry I forgot my pass, but I appreciate you not charging me this time."
-
Hahah...awesome, yeti. well summarized.
-
Where do you work? Should I be concerned?

Seriously, state patrol is the most fucking worthess law enforcement agency. They are glorified traffic cops. I've met a couple of them who are actually very cool guys, but the whole concept of the state patrol to me is ridiculous.

So if anybody here actually knows Steve, ask him if it was him that climbed the rather sick looking lines on the north side of concord tower, leading up from the concord/liberty bell notch. I was noticing them from up on liberty bell. Looked rather difficult to say the least.

Did this today. IN fine shape. Approach is fast and entirely over well tracked snow. chimney has a bit of snow/ice but I excavated a few holds and it was easy after that. should be no problem. only other snow is on ledges and is easily avoidable. Go for it now! No bugs and no people! When else can you do a route like that midday on a sunday and say that?!?

weather sucked for planned attempt of NF shuksan saturday with Paco (warm and rainy ), so decided to take advantage of the nice warm weather and slogged up whitehorse mountain. bushwhack sucked, and it keeps going up and up and up. went down lone tree pass way for some variety. many people on that route, nobody the way we came. climbed beckey route on liberty bell today with a buddy who I hadn't climbed with for a long time. we were slow, inefficient, just not in sync...in short, we were suck. Still an awesome time, shot tons of great pics of the beautiful conditions.

ahh yes...shitcum spire.

There are exceptions, but for the most part being skilled does not move you up in the company, being skilled does not get you more money, being honest does neither of those as well. Fucking others over, however, is a sure fire way to move up.

Scot, didn't your mom tell you not to hang around underneath cornices baking in the sun? Looks sweet.
