    Ski TC

Yeah, I thought about it last time I was there. It's not that hard of a ski if you rap the ice section. Now granted, if you biff, you get flushed big time.
  2. it's quite charming, huh?
  3. So you are set on bouldering for those days, is that correct?
  4. Too bad you don't have a teenage daughter. I'd be more than happy to keep her out of trouble...
  5. Utah is for mormons. Why not just do something around here for the 3 days? You'll get more climbing and less driving anyway. see, there is an upside.
  6. Yeah, fuckstick, I know how to read a map and I've looked at it. I'm certainly not going to decide to go or not based on what somebody here says, but personal beta may be helpful.
  7. Nah, scott, he doesn't bother me, I was just curious. Don't idolize the guy, leave the sharma suckin' to DFA
  8. Quit sprayin' and answer this shit. I'm impatient.
  9. Has anybody done the dakobed traverse? It's glacier peak -> tenpeak -> clarke mountain. I was thinking about this for a trip going up frostbite ridge and coming out through the white river. I'm trying to get an idea for how long, possible routes, etc...
  10. Ouch... Looks like some pretty dumb placements on her part, tho.
  11. Among other locations up there, rumor has it...
  12. DPS, yup, that's exactly what I had happen, and mount stuart is a far cry from br barille

    insignificance

And apparently mars ain't the kind of place to raise your kids.
  14. Dalius, I'm not sure, but I would agree it looks somewhat sketchy. I'm not as sketched about horizontal placements of these "flexi" cams since there is something to keep the actual cams from changing orientation, but it doesn't look like that is the case in that picture. I think I would have aligned the cams to be angled downward more, but what do I know.
  15. CBS, yes, the alien stems are *very* flexible. Almost floppy. They can be bent around in a complete circle. Eric made a good point too, I have noticed they tend to gum up quit easily. In fact, when I had a few freeze the other day they became a real bitch to work with. I resorted to putting them in my mouth (yuck) to melt the ice and shit.

    FYI

True. There are a lot of fathers these days that offer their sons no guidance in any way. If a kid is out there teaching his kid how to hunt, fish, etc. I think that's great. It's not my cup of tea, but at least the kid is getting fatherly guidance, unlike most of the hoodrats these days.

    FYI

Hmm, I think I'm just fine for my father not having taught me how to handle a gun. He taught me many more things I would consider about 10 million times for valuable.
  18. So what are the regulations on that? Can you walk through wherever you want when climbing up the south side? If that is the case, I'll do it just to piss of the cat drivers.
  19. cat, aliens are great for horizontal cracks, where you have the stem loaded over an edge. you can get away with this due to their flexible stems. I ghetto-aided up so shit this past weekend by placing aliens in this way. I was daaaammn happy to have them.
  20. chuck, I assume this is the coulior that comes up from the opposite side of the notch as the stuart glacier coulior? I was looking down this thing from the notch; it looked pretty cool.
  21. I was just asking, Scott, no need to get all hateful. I'm hurt.
  22. It's still covered in snow. If you want much more of a challange go do it now, otherwise wait until it melts more.

    scholler

Yes, go non-brand name. It's the same fabric, and as long as they can sew, it'll be fine. The MEC stuff kicks ass. I also have their "Pamir" jacket, which is a powershield model. great for the winter.
