  1. Yeah, the MAN actually has me working today, but I usually don't spray all that much anyway. TLG and Fence seem to be able to drag my ass out of lurkerdom though. Hi ya'll.
  2. Scroll down to Zeke's Pizza on Phinny Ridge!
  3. So where are we boozing tonight? Linda's or Zekes? Either place works for me. If we go to Lindas then the young'uns won't be able to join us, but they'll still be able to join us at the BBQ on Thursday.
  4. I'll pitch in a few bucks and also bring some store-bought 'slaw and potato salad. Maybe even some forks if I remember. And Minx, maybe I could sample some of that cherry-rhubarb pie of yours at the BBQ.
  5. Thursday is the BBQ, but I'm game for Index on Wednesday. So's TLG.... If'n you're talking about after work, because currently I am still employed and can't take the day off.
  6. Beers tomorrow, Index Wednesday, and BBQ Thursday. Sounds good to me. Are there drinking establishments with outside drinking areas in ALKI!?
  7. I recently picked up a Canon Powershot A70 and really like it. It is 3.2 MP, 3x optical zoom, has a number of features and takes really nice pictures. It is pretty small and uses 4 AA batteries. The A60 is the same camera, but in a 2 MP variety for about 100 bones less.

No, but if you bake me one....

    Mmmm Yummy!

That's gotta be my favorite pie, that and straight rhubarb pie. I had a recipe once for rhubarb pie from Betty Crocker, and once when I had some fresh rhubarb from my Aunt's garden I got adventurous and baked a pie. The ingredients were pretty simple: rhubarb, flour, and sugar. And it was AWESOME! Those mixed berry pies are damn good too! Lucky bastard
  10. I'm goin' climbin' I'm goin' climbin'
  11. Any of you cats headin' to Index tonight? TLG, I'll buy you dinner if you belay me. PASTA Fence, where the f@#k are you? Ehmmic? Anyone else? The truck's packed and ready to go.

  15. This dirtbag climbing trip was brought to you by the letter H. Heroin, which was avoided. Highschool chicks, which were spotted abundantly. Horsecock, which was sadly left behind and much missed. And, pressed Ham, which I believe was only spotted by TLG. Also sponsored in part by Team JD. It was a in' good time. Thanks all!
  16. Didn't you see the Saturday Night Live skit with Eddie Murphy as James Brown. I think he made it abundantly clear that it was, in fact, too HOT in the HOT tub. "Will it make me wet? Yeah. Will it make me sweat? Yeah. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW, too hot in the hot tub!!!"
  17. ditto Have fun and cimb safe. Now go get them mountains.
  18. But determining what is "safe" is somewhat debatable. What one person condiders safe might not be so to another. If you are three pitches up a route and the next pitch only has two bolts with no trad pro a fall would be long, but if you don't deck then some would consider the route safe, while others would argue that it is not safe due to long runouts. What about multi pitch routes where the crux goes at say 5.11. If this pitch has bolts every 8 feet, should a 5.8 pitch below have bolts every 8 ft? No, if you are going to do the 5.11, then running it out on 5.8 shouldn't be a problem. And I would argue against over bolting the 5.8 pitch just so someone who's leading limit is 5.8 will feel safe leading that particular pitch.

    Squamish?

    Absolutely! Check yo PM's!

    Squamish?

I am open to suggestions. Craggin' at the smoke bluffs or a multi-pitch deal up the Apron or whatever. I will be looking at the guidebook tonight. Any of the following sound good... These routes!!!
  21. Dirtbag wannabe climber would like to go to Squamish this weekend, but needs someone to hold the other end of the rope. Any takers?
  22. I had a 17cm express screw hanger slide off the screw this winter. Last week I finally got around to sending it into BD, and today I got a new 16cm turbo express screw in the mail. Sucks that the hanger came off in the first place, but for BD warranty department.
  23. Yeah, Hattie's was the place I was thinking about, but the Latona is a good idea...I can walk to that one from my place.
  24. I'll booze with ya'. How about that joint in Ballard next to the Tractor Tavern. I don't think we've been there since last year.
  25. Fleblebleb & JoshK Sounds like it was a burly climb. Nice job! Rock on mutha phuka's!
