I looked for you after the service Bill, but i didn't find you. I was sitting about 6 rows behind JosephH. the service was lovely and emotional. I laughed and cried. Jim was a wonderful passionate exhuberant man who touched many lives. I felt privledged to be there and to share in all the memories. someone said that if we all could attempt to be a 10th of the man Jim was then we would be in good shape. I think he is correct. It was a honnor to have met jim.
-
for everyone who can't be at Jim's memorial today, 2 pm is a good time to pause and have a moment and reflect on what we do and why we do it. to thank your self or your god or whatever works for you that we have this sport and eachother. i can not think of a better way to live my life. xooxoxox shelly

i did have pie yesterday, but only one slice and i was done there. i didn't even really crave any more than that. one day at a time. i prefer to think of what i consume every day as nutrition. I don't like the word diet as it has a terrible conotation for me. diet is waht people do to lose weight or to obtain a goal of some kind. nutrition is what i pay attention to, to fuel and heal my body. when you diet you drprive yourself of somethign. when you eat nutritionaly there are no foods that are off limits or that you can not have. you just recognize that there or physical consequences for everything you ingest. some things make you feel better than others. i am not interested in forcing my body into what someone else says is the ideal. i am only interested in being the best most healthy me i can be. that requires me to listen to what my body says about foods, not what a book says about food. all diets have some good idea. but no one diet is the perfect solution for every person. to every action there is an equal and opposit reaction there are obese unhealthy people and there are underweight fitness adicts both do the same kind of harm to their bodies. the difference is one is socialy acceptable and one is not. extremeism is extremeism. same coin different sides.

Makes me think of the old quip "see you later" "not if I see you first" Was that the rope up where you offered to show up and bust some heads? Maybe that was Retrosaurus, I dunno, even recent history gets fuzzy sometimes. Next time say hi, ya big lug, I would enjoy meeting you. Similarly, I think I've seen Archie, but introductions were not made. Have to rectify that sometime. I met Layton and he didn't know it... he and CBS greeted eachother and CBS pointed out "that was layton". I've also met SpecialEd and he had no idea who I was (and I didn't tell him). And Pandora as well... on the Muir Snowfield. She passed me on skis (I hate it when that happens) in a whiteout! i haven't seen hide nor hair of special ed in 4 years... is he still as hot as he was DANG

i TOTALLY want to meet DFA..... this year dude.

p.s. when climbing with one of my all time favorite teacher partner people(texplorer)... he used to say "Dude your the hand" for belay is on. it was an inside joke but i totaly knew what he meant. to me it boils down to knowing my climbing partner. it is good to climb with new people and it is good to quickly go threw signals you use before you leave the ground but a good expereienced climber who is paying attention will know what you mean even if you use the wrong word. thus many people climb with people who speak other languages in other countries all the time.
