Hell you can even spend the day sport climbing at Fun Rock and still come party. provided I can get a ride frim sea town, and that it turns out deing a good week end for me I would like to go is there good snow shoing or x country skiing for a gumbie

I understand your concerns doolittle. I am very aware that rapping is one time when there is really no backup. But, what is cavalier to you is simple and a reasonable risk to me. Not to be nit picky about it but how is that helmet you are talking about going to save you when the 180lb guy falls on you? I climbed with tex some durring his eugene days, and I would crag with him again any ol' time. I would not plan on a major route with tex. I move too slow and I am too methodical, and he would expect me to swing leads and I am a whimp. he is prolly the boldest, best climber that I personaly know. I have learnd so much from him. but I do not climb like him. but what I learn from him I then balence that with my own comfort level.

You forgot me! I know we didn't climb much together this weekend, but I spent ten hours in the car with you guys! A fun time for sure...my second time climbing and my first rap, first belay and first multipitch went down this weekend. Plus I got totally thrashed on Karate Crack - my hands look like a dog was chewing on them! OH YA IT HURTS SO GOOD

sure it is easy for her, her children are grown, and she has an army of employees. yes she has worked hard, but she is all about money and welath. I frankly much preferd the Simple Mag to Living. I spent 8 years as a house wife. It was fun, but hard. and although I managed to pick up some pointers from her, mostly the stuff was too "rich" or too time consuming for me ( had 2 kids under 5)I guess I am just more practicle than that, or I like to do other things than just my house

I have to agree with TLG here, only I will push that out further even. LIFE is best lived when you can roll with what is in front of you, instead of having perconcieved notions of what it is 'SUPOSED' to be. sometimes the best part of the experience is the that you went threw it.

I think it is weird that I am one of the biggest sprayers on the site, yet when I ask a serious question I ALWAYS get seriouse helpful answers. if you are curious two posts come to mind clipping 101 and aid climbing 101 in the new climbing forum and newbies respectivly. I also once asked a serious question in spray, becuae I figured it would degenerate and was told that I should have posted it elsewhere because I was getting good answers, I can't remember what that thred was called. I may not be as prolific of a climber as say thelawgoddess, but I am learning and growing, and alot of that has to do with alot of the people arround here who answer my questions and go climbing with me. I thought the movie was an interesting reflection on short term relationships that can carry us threw a dificult periods in life. The reference to purgtory was right on. I think even the other relationships in the movie represent the purgetory we find in those suposed intamte relationships. This movie was very much about how often times we find the solice we need outside our primary relationships that sadly often leave us more lonely than fulfilled. this is not always the case, but as my friend E told me 10 years ago "marrige is the lonliest relationship I have ever been in". this was not an action filled move, it was thought pravoking and sweet. I found hope in it, and at times a refletion of myself and people I have known over the years. here I have to say that the thing that I found most sweet and most touching is that the relationship in the movie though had sexual undertones, was not sexual.
