Dude, you could get a good car for less than that.
-
Yup, looks great, I bet it gets some traffic this summer.

Stefan, given the events of last year, I'm thrilled you could go out and get exhausted.

Squamish Pub Club was on the weekend whilst ya'll were on vacation, different scenario than a Tuesday night with work the next day. Rope-up beer drinking went until who knows when? The Squamish event sounded like a blast though.

I was working in Portland, didn't get home to Tenino until 10, but had I been there odds are I'd have been out the door with the 10:30 bunch, so I wouldn't have changed your statistics much.

Well, I hate to admit the Dick Head is right, but that info was old, inconclusive, and not worth looking up. Yah, there was a bridge like thing there a month ago, but are they going to install it anytime soon? Inquiring minds want to know.

Nope, they've got hands (well, fingers) too, same as Trask. among other things ... Sextoys are Aid!

Hey, just because the thought range may be narrow, it doesn't mean it's not deep. Her: "Are you upset about something?" Him: "No, I was just thinking about how to add Eldorado into the Torment-Forbidden traverse. I'm not upset, that's just my alpine climbing face." Her: ".....uh,.....okay."

Didn't you mean "be like guys and not say it at all?"

See, thats that bit about women not being any better at it than men. Its unreasonable for anyone to expect you to be a mind reader, but people do it all the time: If you loved me you'd know what I want! Of course, if they've told you three or four times and you don't remember, that's a different issue. You should have your wife call in to Dr. F. Amazing's late night "Relationship Clinic" radio show, Thursdays from 10 to 11pm on Oregon Public Broadcasting; the Doc would set her straight.

That's the cool thing about this language stuff, you don't have to know what she wants, you just have to learn to ask what she wants. Goes both ways too, its not as if women are automatically better at this relationship stuff. Me, I like it, but what do I know, I've only been married the one time.

A church I drive by in Tumwater had something to the effect of:

Also in the moderate but fun category, I'd include the Gerber/Sink route on the N Face of Dragontail. I think we finished with the top of the Hidden Couloir route, crossing the ledge system below the fin and topping out right at the summit. I thought it was much more fun than Serpentine Arete. The NE Buttress on Dragontail was also fun, less travelled which has its own appeal. Its a little schizophrenic, first half is an alpine rock climb and the last half more wandering and moderate, but with a great position. Be forewarned that the info in Beckey's guide may not be correct, since it did not jibe with what I observed (I may post a report and info sometime, if I ever get inspired to finish the project) but if you're prepared for 5.8ish rock any of several lines will get you there with a good adventure quotient. N Ridge of Forbidden is also a splendid outing. We did the ridge proper, not the snow face as recommended in Nelson's guide, and had a total blast. I'd echo Mattp's comments on N Ridge of Stuart. When I did the complete I was surprised by just how good and long the upper part was, since it always looked so small in photos. The second time around we just did the upper part, and it was great. There's also this route on the W Face of Silverstar I've been trying to cajole people into doing a second ascent of for awhile now, enough so that I think its becoming a bit of a joke. Obviously, I think its classic, and the rock is quite good, but its more 5.10ish and you'll want to bring the ropegun along for the hard fingercrack at the top. My wishlist looks like everyone else's, with the possible addition of Gunsight, and perhaps the Kearney route on N Face Bear, which looks a little shorter and easier than the DNB. Anyone here done either of these?

Well, its a great bivy. I spent the night at the end of the hand traverse with my son on his first alpine climb, it was a great night's sleep in a cool place.

Yes glassgowkiss, the brits and the americans don't speak exactly the same language, do they? Hell, the various folks on those islands don't even all speak the same brand of English. I saw a film from over there once that had to have sub-titles so it could be understood.
-
Anyone been on that this year? Did I recall some report about a big flake coming off over there, with potential bolt damage?
-
I've also seen this quote attributed to Dan Quayle and GW Bush, so I suspect its actually urban legend rather than real quote. Ditto with the environment quote too, since it also has been attributed to Quayle and GW Bush. The Mariah Carey quote is also an internet hoax, she never said that despite it being widely repeated. Is this list you're reading a collection of phony but widely believed quotes?
-
Not to my recollection. There's a fair ledge at the end of the hand traverse, about a pitch below the gendarme, but I don't think it's I-tent shaped.
-
So you're saying you speak those five languages as badly as the folks people on here are complaining about their command of english? I don't even need to post an opinion, folks like Gowans, Glassgowkiss, Dan Peterson, and AlpineK have already said it eloquently enough for me.

You just might have what it takes to be great Trask. Follow the platform set by Utah Phillips when he announced his candidacy a few years ago. He announced that if elected, he would do nothing. Absolutely nothing. Sit on his ass, play guitar, and travel around. Wouldn't that be refreshing? "If elected, I promise to do nothing but spray on CC.com all day."

I thought all the bumps were for her pleasure

Nowadays you need one with a disability fetish, right Mike? Man, think how you could score with a stump or two...
