    WTF

    Happy now?
  2. Here's two links, compendiums of information mostly from rec.climbing. Both links come from Dawn Algard's website, "Tradgirl" Trigger Repair: where to send your cams Trigger Repair: DIY info
  3. Football.... thats the game played with the funny shaped ball, right?
  4. No, really, I think it will be more entertaining for the rest of us if you would please please take it personally.
  5. What's with all that stuff up in Canada? I wuz robbed! 54-40 or Fight!
  6. Don't worry about fierce burning orb in the sky, it will go soon, blessed rain will soothe our tortured flesh.
  7. Yah, I think its a special monniker just for you. You must have a fan somewhere within the cogs of the CC.com machine. I haven't seen anyone else afflicted with that particular title yet...
  8. You just jibbed up the wazoo, x-man, but you missed the pagetop snaffle.
  9. Boy, now its gonna be harder to get back into your brother's good graces.
  10. Yeah, but what do dogs lick? The funny thing is, that dog has the sort of surly hard stare I expect you might bring to a first public outing. Of course, the really scary question is why and how did DPS come up with that connection. Perhaps you have a stalker, Trask.
  11. You should drink more Lummox, then all will be clear for you and you won't need our advice.
  12. Forget that, I've got a bridge you should invest in...
  13. Karl: It sounds like an interesting but vast project. What form will the registry take? I assume you're familiar with Bivouac.com? I think they have a pretty good format for an informational database. Lummox does have a point about it being a lot of work for a lot of people, but I think there are plenty of obsessive-compulsives out there to get the ball rolling. Its too bad the change issue had to be shelved, making it more of a historical archive than an active resource. I have a friend who's made a stack of FA's, some of which are quite scary, and in his older and wiser condition he'd like to see some of them made safer, so that good routes can see more traffic. As noted, there really is no forum that allows for the blessing of retrobolts by a first ascent party, but it may be that something national in scope is not the way to address it. You might want to take a peak at the current thread titled "Static Point Bolts" for a discussion around the issue at a regional crag up here.
  14. Thumbs up big guy, sounds like a grand event. Will you and Pope autograph a Taco Bell Grilled Steak Stuft Burrito wrapper for me?
  15. is remote spraying like automatic writing?
  16. I believe he's in Zion right now. errr, DFA I mean.
  17. Hah, and look where you moved to! You and Diana should host a "shave the neighborhood" block party, I'm sure Kurt would bring the chipper for sound effects if you supplied the libations.
  18. Yah, sure you betcha, that must be the most tree deprived residential section of the city. I'd heard it was due to home heating needs during the depression, but it could just be Scandahoovian anal rententive tidiness, eh? Trees are so messy.
  19. Hah, that place that's the first thing on the right, as soon as you come off of the Cascade River Road onto the highway? They served the worst victory dinner of my life after we did J-berg, some kind of chipped psuedo-meat on a biscuit smothered in extreme gravy they called a roast beef something or other, so wretched after so much work, vastly inferior to a microwave textured vegetable protein and bean burrito. Dru is totally right, NO ONE SHOULD EVER GO THERE.
  20. Iain, I'd thought you had moved beyond all that and handed your tinplate snaffle pagetop crown over to Attitude. Try as you might, you can never recapture your youth. Give it up gracefully, lest you be mistaken for David Lee Roth.
  21. ChrisT: Dru has it partly right, but you'll need a pre-amp in between the turntable and the soundcard, since the signal from the turntable is not hot enough and not adjusted for the RIAA circa 1960 lp compression standard. If you've got a stereo amp near the computer, just run an rca to stereo 1/4" cable from the tape out to the soundcard line in jack. Get a good cable, like from a music shop rather than radio shack. From there on out it's a matter of software selection. PM me if you want more info, so's I don't bombard this site with more music geek info overload.
  22. Having recently gotten a grip on vinyl to cd conversion, I've been listening to old stuff: Wipers: Land of the Lost, Dead Moon: Defiance, Mecca Normal: Calico Kills the Cat, Laurie Anderson: Big Science. Fun for me, YMMV.

Yeah, and I thought he'd vowed to give up the drinking.
  25. I had to go back to page one to make sure that you were in fact the one that started the thing. Sure as shit, you give that boy a stick and he's gonna stir the pot.
