  1. Well, okay, that WAS a lie. I hope the kid gets a job, though. There are several self-employed individuals on this site who might use some part-time unskilled labor. Can I claim cooking experience if I make my own lunch in the morning?

    Mine! All Mine!

You can have her, man. That chic is too whack even for me.
  3. Sure, as long as I can claim plumbing experience for plunging my own shitter.
  4. Sorry, Seth, but that is the funniest fucking thing I've read today. Thank you. I've never actually heard someone claim that as experience.
  5. Touche. Thanks for the suggestions and the warning about the Naam.
  6. The media frenzy and throngs that would follow Bush (or any president) to a funeral would create mayhem. In my own opinion, this would be a greater disrespect than not attending. Like Rodchester says, a funeral is a private, personal, family affair - not a media event or photo op. The "funeral" of Paul Wellstone, which turned into a huge campaign stop sickened me. Let the families grieve and say goodbye in privacy -the President was neither family nor friend, he has no place there. Greg_W
  7. Yeah. You puttin' out? Cost isn't an issue - they don't even use real money up there. Isn't that weird?
  8. Any suggestions? I'll be staying downtown.
  9. ditto
  10. I haven't been home in 6 days and tonight IS my laundry night! Bwahahahahahaha!!!!!
  11. I remember leading this pitch thinking, "Okay, Matt said it takes #1, #2, #3 Camalots." I climbed the pitch and found that I placed them in exactly that order - that was good for a chuckle once I got to the belay.
  12. I'm wondering if going back and seeing the first one again with a "spaghetti western" type mindset might make it better. I definitely had that mood going on when I hit the theater for "2" and caught some of the laughs I might have missed. Quentin used a lot of corniness on purpose in these movies I think.
  13. JoshK - I know you'll go do some little victory dance thinking you've beaten me, but I don't care. I'm done with you, dude. It seems you are less interested in actually having a proper debate and more focused on beating the shit out of those who don't agree with you and trying to ram your opinion down my throat as fact. Well, I signed off on people like you long ago (that includes being a person like you, which I was). Believe what you will, you certainly seem passionate enough. Good bye. Greg_W
  14. It was great. Loved it.

  16. Doolittle, Unless you are still living in a piece of shit one room apartment, driving a piece of shit car (or don't even own one), shunning responsibility and commitment, and scraping from nickel to nickel, you have become what you and your punk cohorts despise. Punk was an outlet and way of crying out against a society that was forcing kids into a box they didn't want to fit into. It helped a lot of people deal with life at certain points of their life. However, eventually many of those kids grew up and moved on to face life. I presume, since you are typing at a computer and apparently do climb, you have done the same. This does not denigrate where you came from; to me, it means that you have moved beyond needing that outlet of communication. Greg_W P.S. Stop trying to explain it to the kids, they won't get it. I wasn't deep into that scene, but those years were different than what kids are growing up with today; that's for sure.
  17. From my understanding, this has been standing policy for quite some time. You know, junior, the world of policy, politics, and goverment didn't start the day after your testicles dropped.
  18. Watched a guy lead it; it looked tough. He was worked for sure. Nice looking route, though.

    "The Deer Hunter"

    He's young, lummox.
  20. Nope, no time. We climbed a casual 5.6, "You Name It", and then wandered over to Pictograph dome and climbed some thing on the arete on the lefthand side. Lots of other fun looking lines on Pictograph to come back for. We'll go back, I'm sure, this fall.
  21. Didn't hit that. We were short on time, so we only got a few pitches in. Feeling kinda lazy. I don't remember what we climbed at Minne; something on Don Quixote, a 5.7 and TR'd a .10 (ZigZag Crack?) next to it. Mountain School gapers were all over the place - worse than any Mountie invasion I've experienced. 'Bout to set up to lead this crack on the Main face and, bloop, down drops a TR. FUCK! I just about resorted to bouldering, but snapped out of it.
  22. Actually, you do, but that's cool. We were there on Sat. afternoon but found a spot to get vertical. Sunday, we spent a few hours at Tum Tum Canyon. We liked this place - granite domes, lots of features, AND NO PEOPLE!!! A. & I agreed that we'd come back if the opportunity arose. A decent place for spring/fall cragging; I could see it definitely getting pretty hot in the summer. Beautiful area and view of the lake. And did I mention no people were there? The folks at Mountain Gear were helpful, as always. I noticed that Bland's guide doesn't have any info on Tum Tum, but the old guide does (and it's free!). Thanks MtnGear people!
  23. First, please cite a source for your "fact"; you have castigated several people with your childish rants about no source for facts quoted. Second, Clark's statement is EXACTLY what the Framers of the Constitution were trying to avoid: Having all the power in the hands of governmental police forces and an unarmed populace. Greg_W
  24. It's nice to know that such a large segment of society has chosen you as their spokesman. However, I would suggest that you consider the following: NRA membership numbers are on the rise, the number of concealed-weapons-permit applications are increasing (especially by women), and the NRA is considered the most effective lobbying group on the Hill (which means they have good funding, which means that a lot of people believe in what NRA is doing so they give money). 25. Yep, that's what happens when our intelligence and law enforcement communities are not properly funded and allowed to operate.
