This is what I love about Muffy's spelling errors: is the above quote supposed to say "exceptions" or "excretions"?

Cheers to you, E-Rock My bro's tell me you're alright.

Yes, my advice is to buy welding gloves; that's what I used. That's survival, not fear.
-
Everyone wants to talk "fear." Let's talk about how politicians (from both sides) use fear and how the media sensationalizes to create fear. It's bullshit, if you ask me. They can't believe people would stand up for themselves so they have to label it something crippling, so they call it fear. It's not fear, it's determination. (I know this will go in circles, so that's all I'll say.)* *I reserve the right to jump back into the conversation if one of you pisses me off.

Nope. But it sounds like the NRA is well represented out there in America. Not so much of an extreme group after all.

NOOOOOOO!!!!! Do NOT make any preparations, you'll jinx it! Act like nothing's happening...act natural...nothing to see here.

Iain - I don't know about straight out of the movie, but that's why I carry and I've read enough to know that's why many others carry too. Women gun-owners, and women applying for CCP's, are at an all-time high. Why? Because they're scared? No, I think it's because they refuse to be victims any longer. There's a difference; fear paralyzes, refusing to be a victim empowers.

DFA, it is not fear (for me anyway). It is the decision in my life that I will not allow life to roll over me like a wave. I don't believe that I have to step aside for anyone or stand idly by while someone violently impacts my life while I am helpless. I believe in protecting my family and I am VERY serious about it. Would-be victims use guns to prevent crimes 1.5 Million Times Per Year . More and more Americans carry guns for self-defense. Not because we're scared, but because we refuse to be afraid.

Sounds like it will just raise my blood pressure and kick Michael Moore's ass. I won't waste my time. Canada sucks (except for MEC, the mountains, and all the cool people that post on this site )
-
Never mind. I went to the website. It seems like a pretty stupid movie. Why do I want to go see a movie about why people are so scared in the U.S.? Sounds like a bunch of whiners. Live your fucking life and quite your bitching. None of the people I know live in fear. Weird. That bank that gives away guns sounds cool, though. More power to you guys that liked it, but I'm sure your politics jive with Michael Moore's. Whatever. I'll live my life and let all the whiners go see a movie about why they're so scared.

That fucking sucks, trask. I got 8 out of 10, but it didn't tell me which ones I missed or what the correct answers were.

Oooh...here we go. On one hand, I would agree with Strom: integration IS the purview of the states. Except, I guess, one could argue that integration (or "separate but equal" segregation") is a Constitutional issue and would, therefore, be under the purview of the Federal Government. I guess I could agree with the Federal government requiring integration or TRUE "separate but equal" segregation and leave the choice to the states. (shh, I hear the Goat coming now...) Oh, and for all you liberals: I DO believe this line of reasoning.

Really, Ted Kennedy isn't much better. Yeah, he's younger but he's been in office since the 60's. You can't tell me he's in touch with his constituents, just drunk on power. That and he's running from the ghost of Mary Jo Kopeckny
-
That was Reagan's modus operandi coming up through the party. He was big on toeing the line and backing Goldwater and Nixon when he felt he could do a better job.
-
The majority of them are whores who suckle at the teets of the bitch named Power. Case in point: Strom Thurmond. I may agree with much of his politics, but I can't see the good in men being in government for that long. I'd like to see term limits; I see it like college football: those players have 4 years to make their mark and make the big time. Likewise, politicians should have so many years (or terms) to accomplish what they can, then they are gone.

That just means that you are attracted to individuals with opposite temperments than you.

I think Dave is saying that he likes strong, assertive men. I think he's hitting on the Capt.

I must admit that I am guilty of this. I'd spend half a day setting up a perfect anchor if I had the time. I'm better at slamming in something bomber and calling it good now, but when I was starting out I was tedious.

Trask said you were a treasure. I guess he was right.

I'm the same as Trask. Don't know whether to be afraid or honored. Don't worry DFA I am what I am and that all that I am.
