Yeah, been called that before. At least I don't have to wear the white shirt, tie, and wing tips anymore.
-
It's only a two-seater, though, bro. Bell 412 brings your buddies, some chicas, and brews.
-
Winter, you can't take advantage of opportunities or make opportunities for yourself if you don't seek them out. How do they know what is out there unless they try? Your whole racist thing is tired old bullshit. Racism has nothing to do with who has all the money; it has to do with what people think. Prove that you can perform and employers will look past skin color (or anything else). Sure there will be exceptions, but people aren't perfect. Just don't cry "white people have all the money"; fucking puh-leaze!!!
-
Yeah, if I had my 'druthers I'd take a Bell 412 - civilian Huey with a fourbladed rotor and big twin turbines (Pratt & Whitney's I believe). Good payload and cheap (relatively). Sikorsky S-76 is underpowered, don't buy one.
-
Hm, terrorism. Good thinking, Iain.
-
Uh, "crick" means creek or small bubbling brook.
-
Figured that would pull you out of the woodwork. Does anyone know if the Sheriff's department has any leads on the scumwaffle who set up the hoax?

Designed Power Turbine rotating components for the Allison 250 Engine which powers Bell 206, OH-68, 407, 430, Sikorsky S-76, and a few others, for a few years.

Fuck it. Let's just give that piece of shit sport crag back to the indians we stole it from. Oops, wrong thread...sorry
-
Crankbolter - read above, failure of the sliders will NOT result in a grounder.
-
Yeah, check the exhaust vent for the engine. It's definitely a 206. 407's have the Allison 250-C47 which sports a rectangular, one-piece exhaust. The 206 Jetranger/Longranger has a C20 variant which has a dual exhaust setup.

I don't have the time to explain why your capsulization of conservative thinkers is fully bullshit, but you're incorrect. You have never seen me say that I am for unchecked consumption (unless it was sarcastically to prove a point). I know you directed this post at myself, trask and a few others. There needs to be balance, moderation, and responsibility of use.

Whatever, Iain. My experience tells me that the Washoe are pulling a political move to gain something (and it probably doesn't have anything to do with religion).
-
EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS in our sport pertaining to land rights issues (especially those that go through the court system) creates a PRECEDENT for future action or future situations. If the Washoe are successful at Cave Rock, maybe they'll expand to other areas of Lake Tahoe. Maybe the indians up Devils Tower way might get ideas. Who knows. It's all about freedom, baby. Maybe the precedent created by the Washoe at Cave Rock will give ammunition to groups in other "endangered" areas.

DFA, how naive you are. It is called, "because they can." Why do Nez Perce gut out-of-season deer right in town? Because they can; it's a "fuck you" to the white man. (That actually happened over in Idaho if you were wondering) They know they can get away with it; they are probably bargaining for something else and using Cave Rock as a bargaining tool. Or they know that they can get some cash from the Access Fund if they make enough trouble.
-
Did he wink at you? He might have been hitting on you; they get pretty lonely out in Montana. Maybe he said, "Wanna open up my crack?"
-
You would not live to see the implementation of your plan; you would be the first to die. Actually, I don't think you have the balls, you might scratch that precious Outback of yours

Dr. Fucking Abhorrent - If the land that we gave them (in some sort of "imminent domain" deal) was so horrible, why don't they pull themselves up by the bootstraps and get out and make a better life? Probably because the Federal Government says that if you leave the rez you don't get the free shit. So they have made a choice to stay and live in squalor and get free shit as opposed to making a successful life for themselves through work and personal improvement. Sounds a lot like a very bad welfare program and it should stop. We are not helping them through our government's actions.
-
That's bullshit, DFA. Let's see, we won the war, and then gave the losers ALL SORTS OF FREE SHIT!!!! That's guilt working, plain and simple. Enough is enough. Preserving tradition and such is good, but at the exclusion of others exercising their rights sounds sort of extreme. Why cannot there be balance? I would say that the situation at Devils Tower is pretty balanced (for the time being). Oh, and I don't buy the line that "it was their land and we should give it back." We won fair and square.
-
Interesting.....and, sisu, how does that make you feel? Greg W
-
Sierra Club has a moderate front, but they have some pretty extreme ideas - like that people should move to the cities and leave the forests, period.
-
Oh, but Trask, they're sovereign nations We feel guilty so we must give them more worthless land and mobile homes so they can not do shit and rake in money from the casinos. The whole thing is a crock of shit.

The last I heard at the Tower, it was time to redo their management plan and there were some questions on nailing, placing bolts, etc. There was a big push by some local guides to get comments in to the rangers. I haven't heard how it turned out, but I would be surprised if they shut the climbing down - I think that's one of the main draws. It's not like it's right on the highway, it's in the middle of nowhere.
