  1. i can get you "wicked game" by chris issaac if you want mikey and we can snuggle softly while we listen
  2. as you may recall, the babel fish feeds off mental energy - so stupid people will likely always suffer anemic interpretations at least they killed god...
  3. sweet pix
  4. i plan on being there - john i reckon you'll be in da house - who else? oleg? pete? misc. wankers?
  5. the bible college dome - woody, surprisngly low angle but super treacherous - bring lots of pound-in pro - crampons might help too - if any 'thumpers ask, tell 'em your cruis'n'fer'christ! this route has the added benefit of being out of the woods and mostly bereft of half-used rubbers...
  6. aww, how can the kids bouldering pic not make the list?
  7. the roads do appear to be in excellent shape currently - cascade river rd was good to the turn off (round mp 15 i think?) and that road was clear all the way to the mega-washout on the other side of the river.
  8. it was pouring rain and thus everything was pretty much bare to the ground till a little above 3k - by 4k there was 5-10 feet, depending on terrain
  9. no, we lost motivation well before then - the forest was right dangerous too - immense snow-bombs!
  10. either that or i have a compulsive potty mouth!
  11. to confirm that there's lots of snow (and earn our super-slogger merit badge) josh n' i tried humping it up to snowking in the midst of the pouring rain friday - what started in rain turned to snow and rain soaked brush then light snow over crazy steep forest to stupid deep uber-unconsolidated powder at which time our rate of progress slowed to about 200 yards an hour, at which time we began the camp out blaza-athon - simply put, there is a fucking crazy amount of deep, wet, hate-fuck snow above 4000 feet that makes travel of any sort amazingly difficult. there is fun to be had though if you bring it w/ you!
  12. 22. performance enhancing drugs are highly recommended for long approaches and heinous bivies 23. the Man punishes all transgressions 24. i only feel religious when i climb 25. climbing w/ stupid people sucks - better to solo if that's the only other option 26. paranoids, wastoids, freakazoids, and high-powered mutants make the best partners - oddly, these adjectives appear to cover almost all the folks i've met in lonely places in the NW 27. talent is for cool guys - balls and gear can get mere mortals like me up just about anything, it just won't be pretty - and it sure as hell might not be fast. 28. when in doubt, leave it behind...
  13. i look forward to this day, oh dt-master... hopefully there'll still be some homeless gentlemen around to watch the uncaging of the soul, you know, ot lend that magical "butte ambience" to the whole affair?
  14. jesus - looking at the radar inspires no confidence in me. guess i'm a frigg'n lamo but i find myself suddenly disinterested in fighting rush hour traffic to slip around in the mud when i could just get some cardio in and jam at da gym. reckon missing out on all this hobo-humping in the drizzle is really gonna hurt my alpine game, eh? when's noah gonna come my way?
  15. bring your snorkels bitches! looks fucking grim n wet out there! might be a real short night for me - i get all pissy when my little-girl-woo-woo gets soaked
  16. i can be there as early as 4 - but will probably time it to arrive 'round 5 if that's when everyone else is showing. will bring a rope.
  17. damn - beaten to the obscure piltdown reference! indeed, hardly the first famous fraud in science - now if only the north koreans are as succesful in producing nukes!!!
  18. looks like i oughta be there

    RIP

as george patton famously got canned for saying, many germans joined the nazi party like many americans joined the republicans sounded like a pretty cool guy
  20. yeah, we need to beat this shit down now 'fore it starts, less the Natives start gett'n uppity and demand the return of manhattan, california, and well, just about every other damn thing we done ganked from 'em!

    Sell me...

oleg - i have some overboots you can try and see if they fight w/ your cramps n' boots i was comfy on a very cold n' windy summit day w/ the following setup: for the lower body: silk and expedition weight long underwear combo-meal, shell bibs (i think i carried my fleece pants too but didn't put 'em on), overboots upper: expedition weight long underwear, fleece sweater, shell jacket, humongous down jacket why not go like my crazy mofo iranian boy though? he went san overboots and puff-daddy - just in a goddamn fleece jacket and goretex! said he wasn't cold at all - this is why i know his damn government is lying to us about the nukes!
  22. sorry, i only climb w/ people who wear windshirts and brandish nuetrinoes! welcome to the land of dank n' volcano slog'n
  23. Well damn - I thought if you found it on the internet, then it must be true. Seems to me this is a perfect opportunity for a lesson in "how to do research" for the kiddies. word. far more than in the past, folks gotta be cynical about the information they recieve - used to be shit like that website woulda been in a pamphlet form, printed on cheap, shitty paper and handed out by frightening hoboes, and all that woulda immediately been the tip-off as to the quality of the info- the internet just changes that all.

    Sell me...

oleg - you know i'd lend you most everything on that list, seeing as how it'd practically be summer here in the cascades when you're in AK anyways you don't need no dman insulated pants anyhow, boy-o
  25. no argument from me - even if he was as full of shit as bush, and more plagarized to boot, at least his bullshit was sonorous and sublime.
