  1. hope to get good n' goddamned lost while searching for the vertical equivalent of a city of gold, then ultimately to deprive said citadel of it's chastity like the marquis de sade backstage at an old-fashioned southern debutant coming-out par-tay bear been awhile since i've done anything on rainier - liberty ridge? never have climbed liberty bell solo something big n' dumb finish dry-humping my way up every crack out at beacon
  2. can't believe da corner went a whole 10 days unloved after my last visit!
  3. it's pretty old, and hanging out in the freezing weather for a few weeks probably didn't help i'd be happy enough to just get the 'biners back as the draws could all use replacing...
  4. joe - my partner left a blue dyneema sling on the busted pin at the top of the slab of p2 (really needed an extra foot-step there on the solstice), also a nut and a bunch of orange mammut slings on the first step of p3 - do i win the prize for guessing right?
  5. so long as the jugs stay put at the start of p2!
  6. did you happen to see or recover the slings and nut my partner left behind at the top of p2 and at the first step of p3?
  7. soooo - how was it? could see all the way to mt jeff from my b-room today - musta been good, as it was warm - bet it was still drippy though...
  8. what? no picture of the mad deep trench we created?
  9. well crafted verse sir - my poignant memories: accidentally including the track from "dark side of the moon" that contains thousands of clocks going off when selecting tunes for the somnolent hours waist deep trenches of despair dreams of eagles no motorcycling allowed - ever! awaking to a complete 720 on an icy i90 at 40 mph around 530 a.m. - experienced in the sidewise reclined position in the unbuckled backseat yoowza!
  10. haaaaaa! so damn wasted from digging an endless trench through infinite deep snow over the past few days to even contemplate climbing a ladder - i'll be out there soon enough though!
  11. got a spandex t-shirt - umm, hello? does my beer-gut n' hamhock-titties really need to be so well defined and packaged for the sighted-public?
  12. and yet rfk was a politician running for the highest office in the land when he was assassinated? of course the larger situations are different between our 2 nations, and i don't immediately see any useful comparisions, but the usa has experienced it's fair share of corrupt, violence-tinged elections and to say "stuff like this doesn't happen" here makes me just as curious about your edumacation
  13. and that's why i've never liked hash!
  14. i do not avoid women...but i do deny them my essence when did you first become...well, develop this theory? well...it was during the physical act of love, dan...a profound feeling of fatigue came over me...luckily i was able to interpret these feelings correctly - loss of essence! i can assure you, it has not happened again!
  15. whatever her politics and true nature, you have to envy the courage of a woman who could keep going knowing full well how likely that course of action would lead to this bloody conclusion for herself
  16. it's hard to tell which of my presents is having the least amount of fun...
  17. i do not avoid women...but i do deny them my essence
  18. women sense my power, and seek the life-essence...
  19. don't let the dream die - the fuck-jesus thread must go on! how about this little dylan tune for the expedition theme-song? WITH GOD ON OUR SIDE Oh my name it is nothin' My age it means less The country I come from Is called the Midwest I's taught and brought up there The laws to abide And that land that I live in Has God on its side. Oh the history books tell it They tell it so well The cavalries charged The Indians fell The cavalries charged The Indians died Oh the country was young With God on its side. Oh the Spanish-American War had its day And the Civil War too Was soon laid away And the names of the heroes I's made to memorize With guns in their hands And God on their side. Oh the First World War, boys It closed out its fate The reason for fighting I never got straight But I learned to accept it Accept it with pride For you don't count the dead When God's on your side. When the Second World War Came to an end We forgave the Germans And we were friends Though they murdered six million In the ovens they fried The Germans now too Have God on their side. I've learned to hate Russians All through my whole life If another war starts It's them we must fight To hate them and fear them To run and to hide And accept it all bravely With God on my side. But now we got weapons Of the chemical dust If fire them we're forced to Then fire them we must One push of the button And a shot the world wide And you never ask questions When God's on your side. In a many dark hour I've been thinkin' about this That Jesus Christ Was betrayed by a kiss But I can't think for you You'll have to decide Whether Judas Iscariot Had God on his side. So now as I'm leavin' I'm weary as Hell The confusion I'm feelin' Ain't no tongue can tell The words fill my head And fall to the floor If God's on our side He'll stop the next war.
  20. i wonder how a satanist climbing club looking for partners on the big D woulda fared? man, that's a trip i could sink my teeth into (figuratively at least)!
  21. there was that blind guy who climbed everest a few years back - wrote a book about it - Erik Weihenmayer - heard he does more than just snow-slog, maybe you should check out his book?

    The word God

...is supposed to be written only sparingly in the jewish tradition ...is the only word my first girlfriend knew how to say, usually proceeded by "O"
