  1. I did it that way once. I had my wif wait for me at the Snow Creek trailhead. She did until two dorks came down and convinced her that I couldn't possibly make it in 7 hours. I was three switchbacks up when I watched her pull out. Luckily it was easy to hitch into town.

I have a couple 60's for most use. One normal weight, one super light (and super fun). I am 5'11". I also have a 80 for more casual stuff. It is handy as a walking stick/cane and is actually quite nice for slogging glaciers.
  3. Reading your post was super fun.
  4. There is also a really nice 5.6 crack in a right facing corner from the high point of the red dots past the green and purple lines to the green line. Very exposed but very easy and easy to protect.
  5. I did get whacked in the head once by a ski pinwheeling on the fulcrum created by my sturdy lease. It was in the sixties when leases were required in-area. I was going really fast on hard-packed bumps. I know, explains a lot. But I can still tie my shoes and count to four backwards from 5. I woke up on my back with several people looking down at me. Some wore looks of horror due to the red snow. My brothers were laughing and encouraged me to do it again.
  6. I have used various neoprene articles to pad my boots too. For instance, I bought a wetsuit top at a garage sale and cut sections of the arm off so I could pull them over my foot and then remove padding where it wasn't needed. But Matt's technique is far better. Mine is just simple and quick.
  7. Hmm. OK. I was trolling for Dru but that's interesting. baa
  8. I hand over hand like the French. Why get all tangled up?
  9. ...give up on Index and go to Squamish, particularly the Smoke Bluffs! Dozens of moderate crack routes with good pro and consistent ratings. Too many classics to list - grab your passport, a guidebook and check em out. Heresy
  10. I saved it to my desktop so do what you want. Thanks for posting it.

    good question

I used to like him and I still like some of the things he says. But he is a two faced liar, a weasel and I have no doubt that he would abuse any power he aquires including a nuclear weapon. He reminds me of George Bush.
  12. Not so great now. wanker

Cable chains break too easily. I see them on the side of the road all the time. Sometimes they wrap around your axle and can damage your brake line. Buy chains made out of chain and save yourself a hassle. I get mine at garage sales. In fact I have a couple extra pairs. PM me if you are rich.
  14. Do you have anything in mind? A make and model? Thanks for the input.
