I was thinking about this last week too! Good idea - the approach is probably quicker on skis anyways

Not a single one in the whole place, rather disappointing. Take a shitload of bolts and hire a good PR team to deflect the hate spray when you put a bolt ladder up that thing, cause there aint no cracks!

Is that a snaffder or a noddle
  5. Looks like the terrain below the Charlottes is a real terrain trap. I think the safest line of travel would be up that vague ridgeline running from AZ to WY. you'd hafta watch for all those tiny vertical slot systems though.
  6. A two-day trip on a Saturday, then a two-day trip the following day Interested?

  12. -25 Jesus, anybody stupid enough to overnight in those temps? Anyone? Dumbass I am Sumallo Bluffs looked good, esp BK. I'd give it another week if possible though. Still, it looked to be the fattest of anything in the Hope area.
  13. I thought it might be a lttle warm for local projs Though you proabably thought jmace and I would wallow in the mysteriously deep, crustless snows of Ghost Pass. And you would have been right. 4.5 hr death march to "big rockslide" Suckness all round
  14. Thanks for the drive-by beta Anybody done this route? It has always intrigued me. Be a good time right now I think with the low avi
  15. Nicely done! hope you didn't wear yourself out Was the ramp snow or ice. Last year it was 1/2 and 1/2 for me and PaulB, then it became mostly ice a week later
  16. Look closely and you can see Paul Baker's ass in the Spearhead access notch Condish are lightning fast right now. Good time to go, yes, but getting frickin cold
  17. Plans have changed for next weekend PB
  18. Excellent objective, though I think you might be in for a bit of a wallow. There's been a hell of alot of snow over the past few weeks, which probably hasn't set up enough to permit passable kick stepping. Also, could be a LONG approach right now . . .
  19. You ever try that around trees of any kind? Tips stapped together on a pack is so S over P
  20. Tho I don't recall that level of "Stemalotting" being necessary
  21. If that is a Skaha climb that I think it might be . . . nice alpine feel 30' off the ground
