Nice photo! You two look great, and pret-ty durn happy. A flask of Basil Hayden was passed in this couple's honor at a lake somewhere up high in the hills this past Saturday. To M and D:
-
I went to the most scenic spot in the Stuart Batholith that I've seen to date. What a crappy dumb wasted weekend it was.
-
Yeah, I jheard the rumor that I'm a big tramp today too! If only I weren't so fat and psycho, that could maybe be the case, in my dreams! Somebody's got an axe, or is that a chainsaw, to grind!
-
Well, I generally don't marry jarhead dolts who can't hold their liquor, but I did the one time!
-
He sure didn't say that when we were married!!
-
So we can have any of those chatter programs and be able to link into this board somehow? I have ICQ but I hate it because it's so public, strangers always want to chat it up, and I just got IRC downloaded. Seems friendly enuf. Will we all be in one chatroom like the old chatter? BTW this is not feedback, just questions.
-
It just all still seems to be emanating from one single source.....but anyway, who knows, and who really cares.
-
K1, I don't care....matter of fact my butt isn't big, any more than I am a tramp....or was once married to Ray! Laugh as much as you want...in fact that reminds me of a Flipper song..... HaHaHaHaHa hOhOhOhOho HEHEHEHEHE
-
Chepe, you were being blackmailed. If you don't play nice I'm going to tell everyone about how Ray threw up all over my mom at our wedding.....oh, whoops, never mind.
-
Seriously, I won't go anywhere without mine, and my pack weight is never over 30#. You don't have to carry 80# to enjoy the extra stability, and reduced strain on lower joints that poles afford you. I think even after the liposuction I will still use them. People with non-collapsibles always curse heavily when traipsing through the brush. Does any one know what my beloved RAY is carrying on about here? He seems upset! Ray, do you need a neck rub or something honey?
-
When Ray and I were first dating, before we got hitched, he suggested that they might make it easier for me to get my big ass up the hike with poles. Now being obscenely overweight, and divorced (I still LOVE you RAY, did you get the flowers? ) I find that it helps me a lot to have some extra stablization when hauling my gigantic ass up and down the hills. Sure I look like an old codger, but at least me knees and ankes aren't crumbling. Plus I can go 1 mile an hour versus .5 miles/hr without. I like the collapsibles for when I find brush that isn't too dense, I can fold them up and go, assuming my girth doesn't hang up in the salal.
-
I've never really given it any thought! Hey who cares how immensely hefty I am anyway? [ 09-18-2002, 09:54 PM: Message edited by: allison ]

Hefty? Hm, that's a new one on me.
-
Just to make this into the full-blown flame war it deserves to be, I love lift-serviced skiing. Sure it's crowded if you go on the weekends, and sure anyone can do it, but it's still super-fun.

PS. Vantage blows goats IMO. 11Worth gets my vote. If I show up, I might even climb something for a change.
-
Oh, just make that old man of your stay home and take care of Things One and Two. Come on, it'll be fun!

Let me reiterate that I am NOT 'Attitude.' If you don't believe me, have one of the mods cross-check the IP addies, it's simply not me.

Gettin' ready for a PoW WoW on the POW POW!!! Oh yeah, let it fly!
-
Nope, not me. I got some sage advice a while back not to mess with Ray, and I don't.

Oh, my now reading that again in BOLD you are so right. Can't wait to see what a day away from the infernal computer brings to this. Here's to a really minor 80s band that had a thing for sampling and had one great song, the Flying Tigers:

I recall recently getting a little taste of some strawberry GU from a buddy, just enough to moisten my whistle, so to speak. This was out in the woods where food actually tastes better than it is. He said, "what do you think of it?" To which I replied, "ewww, tastes like artificiaaly flavored...spunk." Rather reluctantly, he finished the packet of, well, whatever, and the topic did not come up again. Yucky. Whatever happened to the low- tech ?
